Sucrose has just arrived at her home. She sits down on her bed, curling into a ball and looking into her wall as she lets out a sigh.
She was exhausted. Not only from alchemist work but generally just from her life alone. She often felt as if nothing she did mattered, questioning why she even exists. "What's the point of living if you're a nobody? nobody will know and neither will anybody remember you once you pass away. it's a waste" She would often think to herself, digging herself deeper into her misery. All she wants is to vanish from this world and from everyone's memory. the feeling of loneliness eats her up more and more everyday."it's not like albedo sees me as a friend or anything, right? we're just colleges. nothing more nothing less." she said out loud into nothing but the wall in front of her bed. she chuckles "Yeah. it'd be pathetic of him to think of me as a friend!" She whispered to herself as she felt her eyes building up with tears. She didn't understand what the point of waking up everyday just to do nothing but wait for your death. It was all pointless to her.
Sucrose prepared for some sleep even though it was barely 7 pm. she suddenly heard someone ring the door bell. Her ears twitched at the noise of it as she jumped out of surprise. She went to go open the door being nervous of who it could be. Is it one of the children ding dong ditching? is it someone trying to sell me something? at this time of day? She put her hand on the door knob and slowly opened the door slightly as she peeked out the crack of the open door. She saw a blonde stunning man with his hair down dressed in a scarf and a coat with a nose reeking with a rosy shade from the cold . It was Albedo! "W-what are you doing here? Is it something about work? have i possibly forgot to bring something home?" She burst out while continuing to ramble about things it could possibly be out of absolute panic due to lack of social skills. "Don't worry about it Sucrose!! It's nothing like any of that" he said shaking his hands in front of him with quite the nervous face on. "Really? Why are you here then?" Sucrose asked curiously. "Well, We've never really gotten to know each other well i suppose. Most of the times we focus on work, but i think it would be nice to get you, Sucrose." He said with a warm welcoming smile. "R-Really???!!" she burst out as her eyes lit up. It was the first time someone genuinely wanted to know her. "Would you like to go on a walk with me? I think the leaves this time of year are absolutely stunning! maybe we can get to know each other as we speak" Albedo said with a genuine tone. Sucroses cheeks became a rosy tone as she nodded her head
"One second!"Sucrose rushed inside to throw on a coat a scarf and some cute earmuffs she made specifically for her own ears! She walked out the door up to albedo who was patiently waiting on a bench outside her house. "Shall we go?" She tilted her head showing a wide and warm smile as her nose and cheeks reeked of a beautiful rosy shade. Albedo smiled "Of course!" After that they both left.
They walked down a path in a open forest full of trees with the most beautiful red leaves.. "I never noticed how stunning the leaves are this time of year. i suppose i never cared to open my eyes before now.." Sucrose said in a quite sad tone. "They're stunning aren't they? I'm considering trying to make a seed that has naturally red leaves all year long and plant it outside our research lab!" He said in quite an excited tone while looking around at the environment. Sucrose couldn't help but stare at him. The way he expressed such happiness when he talked about the things he loved was the most comforting feeling ever. The comforting atmosphere of being near someone who it reeked so much happiness and interest from was enough to make you feel warm through your entire body. Before she knew it she had been staring at him with a wide smile ramble about his interests longer than she thought. She quickly looked away flustered at the way he might've thought she was weird. "what's the matter? did i say something wrong?" Albedo nervously asked her. "O-Of course not!!" Never would she admit she was actually admiring him.
Albedo walked Sucrose all the way home to where she lives. There were lamps light up by her gateway and crystalflies flying around making the skies slightly light up. They walked up to her door mat and stopped. Albedo then proceeded to hold her hands tight in grip as she could feel warm and comfortable texture of his knitted gloves. "A-Albedo?" Sucrose whispered out in a confused tone. He looked up at Sucrose with a softened gaze while his cheeks and nose were red from the cold. "I like you. Let's do this again sometime!" He smiled warmly. "HUH?? O-Oh, Of course Albedo!! We can do this whenver!" She said in a very sure voice! "i'll see you then!!" Albedo said as he turned his back and left.
Sucrose was left standing in front of her door watching as Albedo left as snot ran out of her nose from the cold. "hah" She silently slipped out to herself after he left. It was really the first time she has felt this warm fuzziness inside of her in many many years. She wipes her nose with her sleeve before she went inside. She fell down on her bed staring up at the ceiling giggling to herself. She couldn't understand what it was, but she knew she wanted this feeling to never leave.
