"The Bengals won so we're going out tonight." My best friend Alex said bursting into my room with a makeup brush in her hand. I rolled my eyes from where I was laying on my stomach on my bed.
"You are obsessed." Alex had an unhealthy obsession with the QB whereas I actually liked football. She only cared about the hot guys, her words, not mine.
"I know where they are partying at tonight and I'm going to go get an NFL boyfriend." I threw a pillow at her as she scurried out of the room. I sighed rolling over on my bed to my closet to pick out an outfit. I knew she wouldn't let me stay in so better get this over with.

An hour later we stood outside of one of Cincy's more upscale bars and waited in the line to get inside. I rubbed my hands together since the weather was starting to get chilly at night. I had settled on black skinny jeans with ankle booties, a champagne silk blouse and a leather jacket. My chestnut brown hair hung in loose curls to my shoulders and a light smoky eye accentuated my brown eyes. We handed over our IDs to the bouncer before he nodded and let us inside. The music hit me like a wall while the bass took over the rhythm of my beating heart. I instantly recognized a few of the Bengals players standing towards the back.
"Oh. My. God." Alex breathed gripping my arm so tight her nails started to pinch my skin over my jacket.
"Chill out." I said playfully pushing her away from me. "Let's get a drink." I nodded towards the bar since we'd barely moved from the entrance.
"You go ahead. Get me something fruity while I go look for that tall blonde drink of water." She scurried away towards the group of Cincy players while I rolled my eyes. She was too boy crazy. I sighed turning towards the bar. I sidled up finding a few inches of space between people and assertively pushed my way in to lean against the dark wood. My eyes followed the movements of the bartender who stood at the other end tending to a group down there. I nibbled lightly on my bottom lip while I waited. A sensation of someone watching me washed over me and I tore my gaze away from the bartender to look across the bar to the wall of people standing on the other side. A pair of bright blue eyes stared back at me. One corner of his lips lifted in a smirk and heat rushed to my face. I looked away quickly to see the bartender coming towards me. I ordered our drinks and when I looked back he was gone. I picked up the two glasses and took a step backwards from the bar to smack right into a hard chest.
"I'm so sorry." I said turning in my spot to find Joe Burrow standing behind me. I flushed wondering how he made it from the other side of the bar so fast. That same smirk reappeared on his lips.
"Not your fault." He said his blue eyes twinkling. "I was the one in your way." He smiled with those perfect white teeth and suddenly I understood Alex's obsession with him.
"I'm still sorry." I retorted not wanting him to get his way. He chuckled and offered to take Alex's drink out of my hand so I wasn't juggling both. I smiled in thanks.
"Who's this for?" He nodded to the drink he was holding. I scanned the group of Bengals players that Alex left me for and found her leaning against Ja'Marr Chase laughing. She already had a drink in her hand, of course.
