Ballet and Bullets -

Part 4- Things that kinda happen, and you cant really stop them.

I ended up at the prison Paige was at, but nothing went how I wanted it to. I broke into the jail, and low and behold someone was trying to take out Paige. I stopped him, but his screams and her screams were heard by guards. Obviously, This is a huge thing that happened, and I needed to leave. But of course I'm stuck, listening to the footsteps of the officers, while looking at a very shocked Paige.
"I wasn't here." I said, clicking the cloaking button on my wrist cuff.
I could've been out by now, gone, home to Raina. But of course Union Allied would send someone to take out the person who could essentially bring down the whole underground thing with this Fisk guy.
"Paige, what's going on?" A guard asked, unlocking her cell.
"He attacked me, but I knocked him down, and he passed out. I don't know what to do." Karen cried, backing into the corner.
"It will be ok Ms Paige, we are going to take you to the front, please calm down we will call your lawyers." The guard said, walking her out, as more came in and took the other dude.
As soon as they were gone, I crept out of the cell, sneaking back out.
Once I arrived Home, I climbed through my window, and stripped from my blood splattered widow suit.
I changed into a pair of shorts and a sports bra, and walked out to the kitchen.
"Raina I'm back." I said, opening the fridge.
There was a bowl of Mac n Cheese, so I grabbed it. I heated it up in the microwave, and grabbed out a bottle of hot sauce. Pouring some hot sauce onto the mac n cheese, I grabbed a spoon, and practically inhaled it. I don't know how or where Raina's cooking skills came from, but she always seems to make great food out of the cheapest things, even in the Red Room.

I woke up the next morning, feeling sore. I forgot how much it affected you when you jump from roof to roof.
"Raina you up yet?" I said, walking out of my room.
"Good morning Kaylee!" Raina chirped.
"How are you so energetic?" I asked her, laughing.
"Coffee!" She said, handing me a mug.
"This is CInnamon vanilla." She added.
I cautiously sipped it, and it was amazing.
"Where is it from?" I asked her, drinking more.
"The Cafe I work at, they were selling little boxes so I grabbed a couple." Raina told me, setting her mug in the sink.
"Cool. Today I have to go in for a small shift at Natchios Enterprises, then Head to Nelson and Murdock after." I said, finishing off the coffee.
"I like my job, Plus I'm learning to bake things." Raina said, grinning.
"That's great Raina, I'm glad you're adjusting right." I told her, giving her a hug.
She hugged me back, and I felt her smiling.
"I'm thinking of finding a place for Ballet." I told her, pulling back from our hug.
"Ok, does this mean you'll be out of the house more?" Raina asked, sitting on our couch.
"Probably, plus trying to expose Union Allied, and anyone tied to it in bad ways." I said.
"That reminds me, it was on the news earlier, The Owner of Union Allied is dead." Raina told me.
"You already know." I said, going to my room, and getting out an outfit.
Almost the same, Blue blouse, black leggings, black combat boots. I brushed my hair and braided it before putting it in a bun.
"Hey Kaylee, be careful. Don't get mixed up into things." Raina said, waving.
"I won't, bye." I said, walking out of the front door.

After my shift at Natchios, I walked over to Nelson and Murdock. Karen Paige was standing in the direct center of the office talking to Foggy and Matt.
I walked in, "Hey guys, what's going on?" I said, closing the door.
"Karen was attacked last night." Foggy told me.
Yeah I saved her.
"Oh no, did they find out who did it?" I asked, concern lacing my voice.
"Yes, he was arrested." Matt said.
His head was tilted down, like he was listening to something.
"Well that's good, but why is she here?" I asked, setting my things on my desk.
"A hard drive with a bunch of stuff calling out Union Allied for fraud and underground slave work was released." Matt said, "So she was let out."
"And It's proven that Union Allied killed the guy that Karen was framed for killing." Foggy Added.
"And as a thanks, I made lasagna." Karen said, looking at the floor.
"Yeah, and Because Kaylee here only works half the week, would you like to fill in the gap for the rest of that time?" Matt asked Karen.
"I mean, yeah, I need a job anyway." Karen said.
"I think we can get along great, Another female coworker." I stated, walking over to them.
"Yeah." Karen said, smiling at me.

"Hey Matt, I'm going to head home." I said, walking into his office.
"Yeah, I was just about to head out too." Matt said standing up.
He grabbed his blazer from the back of his chair, and walked over to me.
Karen had left earlier to go take care of something, so I stayed to close up her case file. Even though Union Allied has been exposed, I still need to find the rest of this underground shit, and Find out who Fisk is.
"I can walk with you." I said, holding my arm out, and he grabbed it.
"Foggy, me and Matt are heading out!" I shouted to Foggy.
"Ok, Bye Kaylee, Bye Matt!" Foggy shouted back.
We didn't say a word to each other till we were out of the building however.
"How was the hard drive found?" I asked him.
"Left on City Hall's steps in a package. Nobody knows where it came from." Matt told me.
"Interesting..." I said under my breath.
"Hey Kaylee, do you want to go out tomorrow?" Matt asked, looking at me.
"Yeah, that'd be nice."

After me and Matt had gotten back to our apartments, He gave me his number, and we said our goodbyes.
Raina wasnt back from her shift yet so I had some time to myself, to which I sat on the couch on my laptop researching this Fisk guy.
"KAYLEE!!" I heard Raina say in a sing-song voice, "You'll never guess what happened!"
"And what's that?" I asked, looking up at her.
"Someone gave me their Number!" She said excitedly.
"Their name is August!" She added.
"That's cool." I told her, smiling warmly.
For the next 10 minutes all she talked about was August, How They where one of her co-workers, who was absolutely beautiful and how they where Non-Binary, and Lesbian.
"That's great Raina." I said, hugging her.
"I'm really excited, we are meeting up tomorrow for a date! What should I wear?" She told me,  running to her room, "Please help!"
"Ok, I will." I say, going to her room.
After a bit, she went with a pastel yellow dress with floral lace sleeves, and A pair of Sandal heels.
Raina seems generally happy about this, she hasn't been this way for a while, if not, ever.
