Title: I've fallen (Epistolary)

Author: pizzaaaagood

Description: An Epistolary

Book Review

Title

The title give justice to the story. It may be simple and most used words as a title from another story. Still, it sums up the story plot of Spencer and Linus (The lead characters).

Book Cover

The author used light color for the cover, with only one object/design in the middle. With regards of aesthetic, I can say that it's quite attractive and appealing.

The connection of the cover to the story is seen, since the object/design used is a guy (a one man, in fact). Since the story is Boy's Love, it is understandable that a guy is used.

Setting

In this Epistolary, apps or soc med used is not given or indicated. Though at the latter part, chats subtly given that it is in messenger format. Date and Time is given, though there are no indication if the chat is only delivered, seen or sent.

Small number of pictures or visualization was given but still, the story is interesting enough. Actual place is also indicated in the story, such as whether the character is in the Philippines or US, or in their own places or not.

This information is needed to make the story realistic and can be visualize by the reader so that they can feel emotion regarding the situation.

Plot

The plot is great!

It is new for me to read a Boy's Love that is epistolary (since I prefer narrative for details).  But then the author gave justice to this story and made me like it more.

It is new for me, and the plot is good and entertaining. It is not a typical love story, before reading it, as a reader you should be open minded in terms of gender and boldness of the story.

The conflict is not dark but still frustrating. The push and pull relationship of the lead characters is not annoying, instead it makes the story more interesting. Their first interaction is quite funny, and none of the chapters are boring. I swear!

All in all, this epistolary is light and short to read. Social issues are there for us to learn and be open, to be understood.
