The Cafe | Chapt. II

Rebecca's POV:

I walk over, very nervous but kind of excited.

I hear everyone at the table asking what I am doing, but nobody knows except for Mason of course but he wont say anything.

Getting closer I start to feel more nervous but I've totally got this. Every step i take echoes through the room and soon enough i find myself at her table.

'Hii!' I say in a higher pitched voice than normally. 'I really like your outfit its super cute!' DANG IT i shouldn't have said cute.

'Thanks! I really like your outfit today aswell!' The mystery girl infront of me says, I smile at her.

'Thanks!! Did you want to come sit with me and my friends?'

'uhh'

you look over towards where shes looking to realize shes starring at your friends and Mason is looking right back at her with a smile on his face but he looks away when he notices you looking.

'yeah sure that sounds fun!' She says kind of unsure.

Cool lets go!' Shoot! I never told her my name 'My names Rebecca by the way, Becca for short' I smile at her

She smiles back and replies with 'Nice to meet you Rebecca, my names Y/n'

She gets up from her seat and we start to walk towards everybody.

Half of them to busy talking to notice we are coming over, Mason however is looking at us and i give him a jokingly dirty look for starring earlier.

Mason is the first person to say something once we sit down. 'Hi im Mason.' he waves at Y/n.

After that theirs a bunch of 'hiii's and 'how are youu's and 'my name is's and stuff like that.

I at Y/n smiling and chatting with everyone and start to smile aswell, my cheeks turning a light pink colour.

-A little later-

'Bye everyone!!' I say waving goodbye to my friends and turn towards Y/n. 'Hey Y/n can i get your number or snap or something?' I ask feeling weird even though friends do that all the time.

'Sure! Ill give you both! My number is *** *** **** and my snap is _____' She smiles and I smile back.

'Cool my snap is just my name and ill text you when i get home!' I say a little too excited.

'Byee Becca!' Oh My God. Even hearing her calling me by my nickname gives me butterflies. 'BYEEE!!!' I say kind of yelling since shes already walking away.

'soo, that went well' Mason says who has been standing behind me the entire time. 'Yeah! im so glad you made me go talk to her, we will probably be good friends'

'you're welcomeeee' Mason says in that voice that friends use to say 'Im always right'.

'Did you have fun?' I ask him so that we dont have to talk about Y/n for the rest of the time. 'yeah i had fun especially watching you flirt with Y/n!' he laughs

'I did NOT flirt with her?!' I try to shush him so nobody hears 'Uh huh so what were you doing then?'

'I was giving her compliments. Thats all.' I say a little too defensively. 'totallyyyyy'

'anyways whos house are we going to for a sleepover tonight?' I ask him so he doesn't embarrass me even more.

'we should go to my house since my parents wont be home until like 8pm tomorrow' Good I didnt wanna do mine anyways I think to myself.

'alright, we should get snacks before we go to your house' 'okay, ooo we should totally watch horror movies since halloween is coming up!'

Y/n's POV:

I get home around 5pm and moms still not home but thats fine.

I decide to cook something because im super hungry since all I ate was a cookie at the coffee shop.

Where are all the cooking stuff? I ask myself realizing mom never told me when she unpacked everything in the kitchen.

I eventually found the pots and decided to make kraft dinner.

Once I finished cooking I ate at the table quickly and did my dishes. I went up to my room and decorated to make it feel more like home.

When i finished that I checked the time and it was 5:34PM, just then i heard the door open and went downstairs.

'Hey mom!' I said sounding happy even though i told her i didnt want to be here. 'Someones in a good mood, what did you do today?'

'Not much, I went to the coffee shop you told me about and met some people' I say trying not to talk too much about my day. 'Well who are they?' Mom said.

'Uh, their names are Becca, Mason, Miguel, Madeleine, Brady, Jacob, Micheal and Tristen, wow im suprised i remember all their names' I giggle and my mom laughs.

'Did you have fun??' Mom asks with a smile on her face 'Yeah i did! How was your day mom?' 'well it was good, I like my job here a lot!' 'Thats great mom!!' I smile knowing I will like this place a lot more than i though.

-A little later-

I walk up to my room and check the time 6:11PM I should watch a show I think to myself. So i turn on my tv and watch The Owl House on Disney+

Dang I wish i asked Becca for her info so i could text her right now. I wonder what shes doing.
