New start

"It's so dark....."

"Where am I?....."

"I don't hear anything...."

"I can't feel my body at all.....Yet...."

"I feel calm...."

"Wait...."

"What is that light?....."

A green spark flickers in the distance, like it was waiting, suddenly I could feel my legs again with the ground under it. I started to walk toward it, the spark grew as I approached it, my body slowly coming back together, and when I reached the spark it soon became a flame of bright green light. It was warm, inviting, comforting, I felt drawn to it like it called to me, I reached for it, but like it was alive, it reached back. Once I touched it, my dark surroundings, began to crack like glass, light began to bleed through, the cracks spread and the darkness broke into pieces and vanished into the blinding light, the light grew and grew until I was blinded and a loud ringing filled my ears, I didn't know what to do. Then it stopped. The ringing stopped, and was replace with... Beeping?

I could hear beeping, and that's not all, I could feel something soft behind my head, a pillow? Light forced my eyes to open, and I was lightly blinded by a light over head. I let my eyes adjust to the light and looked around, I was in bed, with a pillow and blanket.

I was in the hospital.

I soon was able to sit up, my body felt like it hadn't moved in years, I looked around and saw some flowers to my right, and a card. I went to reach for it, but what I reached with scared the crap out of me.

"AAAAaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, what happened to my arm, and what it that sticking out of it!!!!????!!!!"

I was panicked, my arm was gone and what stood in it's place was a.... Root? A long green healthy root was sticking out of where my arm should be. My panicked state was interrupted by the sound of something, as to what I didn't know. I looked to the right side of the bed again, and saw some kind of yellow sleeping bag, and whoever was inside of it was struggling to get out. They soon crawled out of it and stood up to face me. It didn't even take me a second to realize who it was....

"Aizawa......sensei?"

His eyes widened and a slight smile grew on his face, and if I knew Aizawa, smiling was rare for him. He grabbed chair and sat down next to me.

Aizawa: Willow... is it really you?

I was confused by the question.

"What do you mean, 'is it really you'?"

Aizawa: I mean is it really you? Are you really Willow?

"Of course it's me who else would it be?"

He narrowed his eyes and looked suspicious.

Aizawa: What's your favorite color?

"Sensei I've told you a hundred time before, my favorite is and always will be dioxazine."

His eyes widened again.

Aizawa: Oh my god it is you, I can't believe it!

He got up and inspected me like I was some child after a car wreck.

Aizawa: How are feeling? Does anything hurt? Do you need anything? I can get you some water, or do you want-

"AIZAWA!!!"

He stopped.

"I'm fine, well despite my arm and-"

I remember what happened to my arm.

"Wait what happened to the others? Did we get him or did he get away?"

Now Aizawa looked confused

Aizawa: what are taking about?

"The training camp, is everyone alright?"

Aizawa: the camp?

"What about Apex, did we get him, or did that murderer escape?"

Aizawa: Willow, Apex, the training camp, that was....

"what?"

Aizawa: Willow that was seven years ago

"....what?"

Aizawa: Willow all that happened seven years ago.

It took me a minute to process all that. I was out for seven years. Was I dead, was I in a coma? I don't understand.

Aizawa: Willow don't you remember, you were killed and thrown off the cliff, we looked for your body but we couldn't find you.

"What happened?"

Aizawa: After you were killed your mother went ballistic, she hit Apex with everything she had, no one could have survived that attack. Apex is dead.

I was relieved to know that murderer was gone, but the fact that I was dead. I looked at the root again.

Aizawa: I don't suppose you know anything about that do you?

?: He might not, but I do.

We looked up to see a doctor walk through the door

Doctor: You're Shizen right? Willow Shizen?

"Yes ma'am"

Doctor: Alright, well after going over your vitals, you're surprising very healthy, and we'll be able to discharge you this evening.

"Oh uh, alright"

Doctor: Mhmm, but before that I'd like to do some tests just to be sure your up and at it, alright.

I nodded and she began her tests, main things like reflex testing, hearing, sight, breathing, and other things just to be sure there wasn't anything wrong physically wrong with me.

Doctor: Alright, well I can safely say your perfectly fine.

"Doc, you said you might know about this" *wiggles root*

Doctor: Ah yes, about that, to answer that I have to ask, what's your quirk?

"My quirk is called 'Overgrowth' it allows me to grow and manipulate plants"

Doc: Hmm, well that doesn't answer everything, but basically your body has mutated.

"Mutated"

Doc: Yes

"But my quirk is an emitter"

Doc: that's what surprised us most, your quirk has somehow mutated your body, most of the animal cells that make up your body have been replaced with plant cells.

"...."

I look at Aizawa, and he looks just as surprised as I am.

"how is that possible?"

Doc: That I don't know, but don't let that get you down, your alive and healthy, it's something worth celebrating, you should and enjoy this chance you were given, it's not everyday you come back from the dead.

I think for a moment, she's right, I've been given a chance to live that life I wanted.

"I think your right, I won't waste this chance, thank you"

Doc: happy to help

The doctor collected her things and left the room, I turn to Aizawa

"So what now?"

Aizawa: now you get dressed and we head to UA, theres someone who wants to talk to you

"Who and why?"

Aizawa: You'll see, they have a offer for you.
