Chapter 4: Losing it

The dream was really intense. Quick saw himself doing something that he'd never thought he'd do.

He was beating the living daylights out of Trilla. She had tears in her eyes, her mane was messed up, and she had bruises from her neck to her back.

He wanted to stop himself somehow. He can't scream. His vocal chords feel like they have vaporized into thin air. But he can mutter out to the pegasus in pain, "I'm so sorry, I never meant to let this happen." A last blow to her head, that he delivered, kills her.

He wakes up in a cold sweat. Heavily breathing, trying to comprehend what he saw. He sighs, now knowing that it was just a dream. "But something doesn't feel right." He looks at his right hoof noticing that it's starting to turn a gray-ish green color.

Right away he flies towards his alicorn friend's castle. "She'll know a spell to fix this. Hopefully. I don't want to kill her." He says.

Trilla sees him fly past and decides to follow him. She notices after a while that he's flying to the castle. He lands in front of the door and walks in. He runs as fast as he can to get to Lily. He sees her. "Lily!" He yells out to her. She turns her head. "What's wrong?" She says with a worried tone. He then explains everything from the vision to the dream to his hoof. "And I don't want Trilla to know. I don't want to make her scared."

Trilla had heard everything. She couldn't decide whether or not to be upset or scared. She decided to walk out of the castle trying to be unnoticed. The floor board creaks and the two ponies turn around and see her standing there. Blushing from embarrassment, she flies out of the castle before he can stop her.

"Trilla, wait up! I can explain!" He yells out to the white pegasus. She seems like she vanishes in to thin air. She lands on a cloud, out of breath. She starts crying. "Why? What is happening to him? Now I can't tell him, *laughs a little* he'd never love me anyway." A crazy smile starts stretching across her face. He's seeing his best friend going insane. And he can't be there to comfort her now because he is now losing himself in the back of his mind.
