Foreword

Greeting, creatures of the mortal realm. 

This will be my first story as an official Creator on Wattpad. Which would mean that I will be trying to up my quality of work. Which would subsequently also mean that updates will be slow. Slow...er than usual that is. I am also moving, to a different city. So I expect things to be hectic on that front.  

I am trying to venture into a more mature style of writing. A style that would suit the fantasy genre. Dark fantasy is what I am going for here, and hope to capture the allure that my characters have in my head. 

I also have a few graphics for this story, and can't wait to show them to you guys. 

Below, there is a rundown of a few things that would help in understanding the world I have attempted to create. Might update this as we go along. But for now- 

The story takes place in a world where Kings and Queens still reside. The country is Immortia. However, instead of a royalty, they have four noble Houses that rule the kingdom. Each House is named after each playing card. So we have, the House of Hearts, The House of Diamonds, the House of Clubs and the House of Spades. 

Each noble House lives in one of four major regions. The names are a bit fancy so...we will learn about those as we go. 

At the heart of the nation, at the very centre, is a large palace that has the fabled Obsidian Crystal. A large black crystal that is said to harbour the powers of the entire nation. A crystal whose mystical, ancient powers is said to be the source of the welfare of the country. A lucky charm of sorts. 

There will be a few words that are new, of ancient Immortian language. 

So now that we have all that out of the way, here's the customary popcorn.
