Author's POV:

"Now, you have everything? I just want to make sure you're all good now Anna." Ms.Cara asked a white haired girl infront of her.

"Mhm, everything is here with myself! I'll be completly fine, you shouldn't worry on me." The white haired girl named 'Anna' smiled as Ms.Cara sighed sadly.

Anna was a young girl, rescued from Snezhnaya and then placed at the 'Chasity Care Orphanage' in Springvale, Mondstadt when she was three. Today she turns eighteen, which means if not adopted, you must leave the orphanage.

"I See, well, I guess this is our goodbye then." Ms.Cara went to hug Anna, whilest Anna dropping her bags.

"Goodbye Anna!" 
"See you soon!"
"Please don't leave us!!!!"
"Don't Go!"
"We'll miss you!" Children's voices rung out from the house.

Anna waved and smiled at the children, then turning to pick her bags up and on her way she went.

"I Hope I'll be able to find you, papa.." She whispered, staring at a tattered old photo of a man with brown hair and thick rimmed glasses.

Beside him was the figure of a woman, with a long white dress that faded into blue. Although, the photo was ripped where the woman's head was supposed to be.

Even if the sun was shining in that area, the rest of Mondstadt was cloudy. A few butterflies and bumblebees flew bhind and beside her as she walked.

"Hmm, hmm, hmm~" A simple tune was hummed underneath her breath.

Then, she stopped at a fork in the road. One side pointed towards 'Dragonspine' and the other was pointed towards 'Mondstadt City'.

"Which way should I go?" She asked herself.

"If I go to Mondstadt City then, there's more of a chance of my father being there but if I go to Dragonspine....Oh! I don't know what to do!" She sat down on a nearby log.

A Cryo slime slithered from behind her, making a sort-of happy sound.

"Hm?" Anna moves her head from her hands to look at what's poking her hip.

The Cryo slime bumped it's-presumed to be-nose against her Cryo Vision!

"Ah! You shouldn't hit that!" She exclaimed, shimmying away from the slime.

"?" It had made a confused noise.

"What I mean is, that you shouldn't take this vision away from me. It means alot to myself. So please, try not to atleast?" She asked the slime.

The slime seems to nod it's head to her, making her laugh.

Then, it slithered towards the sign for 'Mondstadt City'.

"You want me to go, there?" She asked it, picking up her bags from the ground.

It nodded again in agreement.

"Hm, I guess I could.." She said as she followed the slime, leading her to the pathway.

"Heart, don't fail me now! Courage, don't desert me! Don't turn back now that we're here." She began to sing what she was humming earlier. A Song she made up herself.

"People always say Life is full of choices. No one ever mentions fear! Or how the world can seem so vast. On a journey...to the past."

"Somewhere down this road I know someone's waiting, Years of dreams just can't be wrong! Arms will open wide. I'll be safe and wanted, Fin'lly home where I belong. Well, starting now, I'm learning fast. On this journey to the past. Home, Love, Family." She continued.

"There was once a time I must have had them, too. Home, Love, Family, I will never be complete Until I find you..." She thought of what that picture meant, before looking back up at the Cryo slime whom was waiting for her to continue walking and singing to/with them.

"One step at a time, One hope, then another, Who knows where this road may go. Back to who I was, On to find my future. Things my heart still needs to know!"

"Yes, let this be a sign! Let this road be mine! Let it lead me to my past.." They were finally coming towards another bend. Closer and closer to the City.

"And bring me home...At last!" She stood there at the end of the trail, with her slime companion beside her.

"Um, where is this supposed to be?" She asked the slime.

The slime seemed to shrug at her.

"It's alright if you don't know where the City is. You got me here, and that's better than I could ever do on my own!" She encouraged the slime, making it do another happy noise.

A rustle came from behind them. Making their heads turn to the source of the sound.

Then, a bunch of hilichurls made their way towards Anna and the slime!

Dropping her bags and grabbing the slime, Anna shielded herself and the slime.

But before they both knew it, a girl with short blonde hair and a child-like girl with purple eyes came to rescue them.

"Are...are you alright Miss?"

"Have you heard, There's a rumor in Morepesok? Have you heard, What they're saying on the street?" The people of Snezhnaya sang to each other.

"A Royal child may be still alive! The Princess Anastasia! But please do not repeat! It's a rumor, A legend, A mystery!"

"Something whispered in an alleyway, Or through a crack! It's a rumour That's part of our history." They moved along the streets.

"They say her Majesty, the Tsaritsa, Wil pay a royal sum to someone who can bring the princess back!" One man said to another.

"SSH! Have you heard, There's a rumor in Morepesok? Have you heard, What they're saying on the street?" They continued.

"HEY! HEY! HEY!"

"Have you heard, There's a rumor in Morepesok? Have you heard! Comrade, what do you suppose? A fascinating mystery, The biggest con in history!" 

"The Princess Anastasia, Alive or dead Who knows?" They all stopped singing and just went on with their day.

"What do you think, your Majesty? Is the Princess Anastasia alive?" A female Fatui agent asked the Cryo Archon.

"Hmm. I hope that my daughter is alright. Wherever she is." She said calmly before slamming her glass of 'Fire-Water' down. Startling the Fatui agent.

"Find her. FIND HER NOW, AND BRING HER TO ME. She better be alive once she's here." The Tsaritsa said. Making the Fatui agent shake her head submissively before running out.

"Huhh.." The Tsaritsa sighed and sat back down.

"Oswald better not have kept her from me all these years.." She mumbled to herself again before taking a swig of 'Fire-Water'.
