The fae sat on a picnic blanket with a basket filled with food and tea that was set there for both the fae and the child. Lilia set this up for the both of them, just so the two could get to know more about each other and Lilia thought a little picnic-like party would be nice.
Malleus wasn't disappointed when he arrived first, it was truly a beautiful party just for the two of them. Maybe this could unlock some new expressions from that child.
" I do hope they like this. " He said to himself as he poured himself a cup of his favourite tea, while also placing some food on his plate. He was quite lucky that Lilia wasn't the one who prepared the food for the both of them, since his cooking would result in the kitchen burning down, or most of the food being burnt to create a 'healthy' dish.
' I wonder when those two are gonna arrive. ' he spoke in his head as he held his tea over his lips, while looking at the door to the garden. Waiting for the small child and the silver haired boy to arrive for a little bonding.
And that's when the door opened, revealing the child on the shoulders of the grey haired boy that held onto the child's ankles while the small one was playing with the boys hair, not tugging on it of course.
Malleus smiled at the two, placing his tea down and walking over to the two who had just arrived at the garden. " I'm surprised you managed to get here this quickly, and you look quite adorable, young one. " Malleus stated while looking down at the two, while silver grabbed (name) from his shoulders and placed them on the floor.
" Since you two are gonna be out til evening, i suggest you guide them back to their room, Malleus. " The silver haired boy said before walking away from the two.
" Would you like some tea, young one ? " Malleus said as he looked down at the child with a smile. While the child was breaking their neck looking up at him, since this man is towering over them. " that would be nice.. "
The two walked over to the picnic and sat on the blanket, with the smell of the food that had gone slightly cold, roaming the air and travelling into their noses. Making the fae feel quite hungry since all he did was wait for you and his food had already gone cold.
" i do hope you don't mind the food being slightly cold, little one. " He said while he pulled a plate out of the basket and gave it to the child. Along with silver cutlery which the child has never used before, and they just stared at the silver spoon and fork with wonder foaming in their eyes.
Malleus looked at them with confusion. The child was literally just looking at cutlery like the little mermaid. " gege... what are these.. ? " they questioned the fae as he gave them a look of shock.
" have you ever used silver cutlery before ? " he asked while hovering his fork over his cold dessert, while also holding his plate with his slender hand. Looking at the child with interest about their lifestyle at this point.
" no... back where im from, we used two sticks called chop sticks for.... cutlery ? " They questioned the last word still a little confused about what cutlery is. While malleus just stared at them while his fork was still hovering over the food that he wanted to eat so desperately, but he decided to do something for them.
Malleus dug his fork into the pastry and now holding a piece of his dessert on it, then he moved his hand towards the child who was looking at him. " here, since you have no knowledge of how to use cutlery, i may as well feed you, until you learn of course. "
The child looked at the fork that had the pastry on it, the strawberry jam and fluffy looking cream brings back more memories of her time in liuye. With a certain ginger that always seemed to have mora on him, and a tall man that was usually dressed in a suit and worked for that funeral director that always tried to bury the poor zombie.
They opened their mouth for the fae to feed the sample of food to the child, though they didn't feel hunger building up in their body, they wanted to try the food here.
Malleus had fed a child before, so he knew this wouldn't become a problem due to his experience with small toddlers and infants. The fae placed the fork, that had food on it, in the child's mouth. And watched as the child had tiny stars in their eyes after he pulled the fork out of their mouth with the cutlery empty.
He saw a small smile appear on their face, and his heart began to melt from the cuteness and flowery atmosphere that was forming around the two. He gave a big smile to the child and decided to place them next to him, since he didn't want to stretch over and feed them the whole time.
He felt happiness built in his chest, knowing that he now has a new little sister or sibling to protect from the dangers of the world. He finally understood Lilia's mood towards them now that they have just started bonding. Their just a small infant that hasn't learned much about the simplest things yet, and he wanted it to somewhat stay that way.
But it was up to fate, and fate is one of the things that cannot be predicted that easily.
