The twins // short story I wrote for school that I wanna share!!

The Twins.

Carson and Casandra.

The type of twins who are polar opposites of each other. But seriously, they act nothing alike!

Cassandra is very introverted, calm, and cold. The type of person to read a book at a huge party. Cassandra has a lot of pressure put on her, people around her judge her by how professional she always looks.

Because of how she acts, she has the nickname "Ice queen'' which was given to her by a new student who tried to talk to her since they sit next to each other, Ice representing the barrier she put around herself from other students, and the fact that she has light blue hair.

Queen, because she and her brother belonged to a rich family.

While Carson is very Extroverted, loud, and kind. He really looks up to his sister, even if they act very differently. Carson is popular, known as that one guy that everyone likes.

The type of person to laugh during an important assembly.

Cassandra will never admit it, but she would do anything for her twin. She's normally calling him an idiot, but she knows he's smarter than he acts.

Actually, Carson used to be the genderbend of Cassandra, but he got bored of only ever worrying about grades, and wanted to be able to have friends like all of the other kids.

So, when they moved to their new school, he completely masked his old personality so he would start enjoying going to school more.

The only friend Cassandra has is Max, who is a childhood friend that switched classes when she found out she moved here.

Max is a troublesome student, playing pranks on teachers, students, and just general workers. Max also got into a lot of fights with other students, and Cassandra almost always had to break up since she was part of the student council.

Oh did I forget to mention that? My bad. Cassandra is the President of the student council.

Due to her grades being perfect and everyone else being scared of going against her, not because of max but because of her in general.

The only reason she can break up the fights max causes is because she's a martial artist. A good one at that.

But, skipping to current time, Cassandra was sitting in her normal seat, with Max sitting behind her. Poking her with a pencil.

He was complaining about how bored he was, while Cassandra sat there ignoring him. "Cass cmon im bored! You're the president right? Could you atleast try to get me out of class?"

Cassandra turned her head towards max. "It doesn't work like that. Now, finish your homework and stop bothering me."

She replied in a monotone voice. Sometimes, Max genuinely thinks she doesn't have any empathy or even emotions.

Which is partially right, actually. She feels emotions, but very little of it. It's mostly because of her parents putting too much pressure on her as a kid, she never really enjoys playing games or anything fun.

The emotions that she does feel she doesn't know how to display correctly. Max hasn't heard her laugh in years.

She was a very happy kid, but one day she disappeared. for 2 months, Max didn't see her.  When she finally came back she acted so differently. She hasn't laughed in forever.

Max still has no idea what happened to this day.

Cassandra and Max met when they were 4, and they would occasionally play with Carson as well but when the twins were kids they were normally at different locations due to family problems.

"Pretty please?'' Max pleaded. "No. That's my final answer." Cassandra said right before the bell rang for lunch. "Finally! I've been waiting all day." Max said before quickly getting out of his seat and going to walk out of the classroom. "Did you forget?" Cassandra said, suddenly behind him.

"You can't leave."

Max turned around and she was..gone. Max looked at where the girl was at some point with wide eyes, and turned to the door, before rubbing the sides of his head.

He really needs to get this being able to see ghosts thing under control. Then he walked out of the empty classroom to sit with his friends, but everytime he closed his eyes he saw them. Cassandra and Carson.
