Claire

I seen it in the distance a shining object about ten meters away i slid down the tree and started running towards what i thought was the sapphire but as i got closer i had a feeling of dread and a small amount of adrenalin coursing through my veins. I ran a tiny bit faster then i would normally its like running into a pitch black room and not knowing whats in there i felt blind. Having to run into this dark cave with a cross bow i mean c'mon i might be smart but i know you can't kill quick enough if you need to. Encounters in the past have taught me that.

"Don't let it get inside your head Claire c'mon your strong enough" i said to myself and came to a slow and steady stop the i whipped the bow off my back and loaded it with a arrow which had a pointed silver tip. I aimed it at the gem sat of the floor and inched closer and closer toward he shining blue object before me.

I reached out to touch it and a hand grabbed onto mine i shook my hand vigorously to try and get loose.

"Get off me" i screamed and the hand pulled me of my feet and dragged me along the floor i was kicking and screaming until i decided to do something. I decided i had to bite whatever had my hand. I leaned closer and latched my jaw onto its arm a small whimper came from something in front of me but i didn't stay to see what it was but as soon as i was loosed i got up and ran back toward the exit picking up my crossbow and the sapphire then ran for my life. My hand was throbbing and i noticed once i had stopped running whatever had me had burnt my skin somehow. I touched it and winced in pain. I looked at it closely and noticed a rotten white thing stuck in the tip of my finger i pulled it out and i turns out it was a rotten fang.

"Right five items done and its already sunset what?" i said to myself not realising how long i had taken. I walked back to the house the door was open a crack i pushed it open and Myrnin was stood by the cooker attempting to open a can of soup.

"Ah Claire your back could you assist me in opening this sup?"

"It's soup and pass it here" i said and dropped my bag on the side along with the three items i had found. He passed me the can and i fiddled with the latch to open it. Then i cut my finger on the sharp edge it was on the same hand as the burn.

"Oh my what happened?"

"Some thing got hold of me and it burnt my skin" i said as he dug through a cookie tin then came out with a bandage and some painkillers.

"Well take these and wrap it up in this" he said and then pushed my out of the kitchen. I walked over to the couch and sat down taking both pain killers then attempting to bandage my hand then there was a knock on the door.

"Hello?" they shouted so i got up and opened the door i looked around but i couldn't see anybody so i shrugged it off and shut the door.

"Claire my dear who was at the door" Myrnin shouted from the other room but i couldn't answer because somebody had there hand over my mouth so i let out a muffled scream as they inched a knife closer and closer to my stomach.

"Claire?" he said and came into the hallway where this person wearing all black and gloves was holding a knife to me i quivered in fear as he moved slowly backwards.

"Mate you either had her over to me or you let me take you either way one of you is coming with me"

What am i going to do? Well of course i'm going to save Claire but then what? Sue i might be a vampire but c'mon i am quite old you know.

"C'mon mate you have five seconds before i slice the chick and then take her with me"

"Take me instead! Leave this poor child she is weak if you want to do damage take me and leave her" i said and then he dropped Claire to the floor and grabbed my arm then pushed me out the house.
