I sigh heavily. My classes had been kicking my ass again, especially with Mr. Lun, my algebra teacher. I get on my phone and open my drawing app. I immediately get to work with sketching a head, then stop. Who do I want this character to be? I think for a second before shrinking the canvas with the head and sketching a larger one next to it. I sit on my bed before speaking.

"Blitz, shuffle my art mix."

I see the purple light ring flash as if thinking, then music starts to play and I get to work. Before I know it, I'm adding my watermark as I finish. The drawing is of me and my ideal boyfriend. I've named the fictional boy "Garrett" and made him a football player. Pretty soon, I'm daydreaming of going on dates in the rain with him. And maybe after a rainy, cold day, we head inside and he pushes me up against a wall and—

"Oli! Binx! Dinner!"

I get dragged down to earth with my mother's voice calling me and my sibling to dinner. Just when it was getting good, too. Dammit! I rush downstairs before I get second thoughts. After dinner, I run upstairs quickly and change for bed. I open my phone with my drawing one more time, and stare at him. Those eyes...they're like storm clouds, I gush in my head. I mimic a Japanese schoolgirl with how I'm acting, but I don't care. He's my digital boyfriend, and no one else's. Pretty soon, I'm out cold.

Present Day

I yawn, hearing my alarm go off, waking me up. I had the most amazing dream...Never mind. I frown as the dream fades into a haze, sitting up, my hair an absolute mess. I hear the first lyrics play and remember my alarm.

"Blitz, stop alarm."

My smart device does its job and shuts the song off. I stretch, forgetting about my bunk bed.

"Ow!"

I hit my hand on the wood of the top bunk. Damn. I stand up and search through my closet for a good shirt. My eyes land on a teal quick-drying top. It's not red, but it'll do for today. I take it off of the hanger and find some good jeans. I quickly change and rush downstairs. I nod to my mom before finding a good hairbrush and brushing out my messy short dark hair.

"Well, good morning! You beat your sibling downstairs today!" my mom says to me. As she says that, I hear the footsteps of someone coming down the stairs. Speak of the devil.

"Hi, Binx," I say, mind still foggy from the dream.

They flip me off as they usually do before sitting down, their outfit very well put-together, as usual. I ignore the vulgar gesture and get my lunch together before grabbing my bag and almost heading out the door before—

"Oli! You forgot your shoes!"

Shit. I grab my D&D socks from the drawer and my tennis shoes, and I put them on quickly before rushing out the door. I try to open the car door before realizing it's locked. Fuck.

It doesn't take too long before I'm at school. I'm halfway up the stairs when—

"Good morning Tigers!"

SHIT SHIT SHIT! I quickly rush to my 1st period, only to find the door locked. I sigh, flipping off the bitch holding the door closed. My teacher motions for me to go down to the office, and I reluctantly comply, taking the stairs down. The day goes by rather quickly and I head to rehearsal. I sit down before hearing the standard call of 'places' and responding accordingly.

"Okay, someone's going to be helping us out today. He should be here any moment. Oh, hey Garrett!"

I turn my head at the familiar name and gasp. My eyes scan his messy brown hair, his stormy gray eyes and his football shirt with our logo. I go completely red as we make eye contact. At that moment, I know three things for sure.

One, he looks exactly like my drawing.

Two, I'm hopelessly in love with him.

Three, I have to have him for myself.
