"We're leaving?" You asked in confusion. You were watching Sebastian with careful eyes.

Why? And why so suddenly? Has something happened?

However, your confusion was tossed aside as Sebastian turned to you.

"My lady," he began, a gloved hand on his lower belly, "would you like to hear a story? It revolves around you and your parents." He spoke calmly. There was a flicker of mischievousness in his wine-colored eyes and something else you couldn't decipher.

"I guess...but don't think you can avoid my questions!" You pointed an accusing finger at him.

Sebastian chuckled as he bowed his head. "I would never," he extended a hand. His hand emerged beneath yours, cocooning your palm with his long fingers. His unoccupied hand came to rest on top of it. "I'm simply killing two birds with one stone. Allow me to show you-"

He hadn't even finished his sentence as your vision grew murky.

Darkness shrouded you like corrupted black bubbles pushing to the brim of the surface of clean waters. Your heart rate spiked, and your breathing hitched slightly until you heard the sonance of muffled voices speaking.

"-I've concluded that our daughter is no longer safe here." The voice of a man materialized. His voice was deep, and his tone sounded solemn.

Blinking repeatedly helped your vision, which was no longer blurry. Staring ahead, a man stood before you. He was frowning while cradling a bundle of blankets in his broad arms. "Raum," the man called out, "with a heavy heart...I order for you to take her. She is to be raised as a human amongst the others on the surface. Keep a watchful eye on her for me. Her magic will only make her an even bigger target for whoever is behind the slayings of those other noble households. I cannot afford to lose her. Not when you know Lucifer and I worked so hard to have her."

'Who...' You paused.

Culmination dawned on you.

You were looking through the eyes of someone named Raum.

The man standing before you, extending the bundle towards this Raum character, there was no denying that the baby was you. You looked identical to your baby pictures.

The man wasn't a stranger. From the photos, he was your father.

"Please." No noble demon of this man's status was supposed to beg anyone for anything. Not unless it was the King of the Netherlands. But Lord Diavolo had no choice, and he pleaded with Raum because he was one of the several demons he could trust in this crisis.

You watched as Raum's familiar gloved hands reached for you. And a familiar voice prodded through your eardrums.

"Of course, My Lord." Raum was none other than Sebastian.

"I will do everything in my power to keep the young mistress safe." His covered knuckles tenderly brushed against the chub of one of your cheeks as your baby counterpart gurgled. They were slightly squirming until her fat fingers curled around his finger.

You unexpectedly pulled away. Your eyes were wide, and unbeknownst to you at the moment, your pupils shrank into slits.

"What," you asked Sebastian again, "the hell was that?"

Sebastian answered without missing a beat. "That, My Lady, was a brief vision of the past. Seeing what you saw," he leaned forward with a glint in his eyes, "do you understand what's happened?"

You furrowed your brows as you glanced to the side. Your lips pressed into a thin line. "...I saw my father. That was him, right?" Your eyes flicked back toward the tall butler. "He was talking to you...he said something about me not being safe...magic?" You shook your head and glared at Sebastian, "And your name isn't Sebastian. What the hell is going on?"
