The Curse of the Silver Blade

Whilst investigating the death of a local doctor, an impatient housekeeper called Horror Apple uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, silver blade circulating throughout nightmare's castle. As soon as anyone uses the blade, he or she has exactly 24 days left to live.
The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look skeletal. A marked person feels like a sloppy monkey to touch.
Horror gets hold of the blade, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a fragile donkey balancing on a fake doctor, an old newspaper headline about a flying accident, a hooded flamingo ranting about moles and a drinking well located in a rural place.
When Horror notices his elbows have monkey-like properties, he realises that the curse of the silver blade is true and calls in his friend, a swordsman called Dust , to help.
Dust examines the blade and willingly submits himself to the curse. He finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. He finds the fragile donkey balancing on a fake doctor particularly chilling. He joins the queue for a supernatural death.
Horror and Dust pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded flamingo. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
