Opening my eyes, I find myself on my clean bed. Leaning up and looking towards the window I find that there still light, 'thank god I didn't sleep to long' I thought sighing in relief.
While adjusting to the light I started moving from my spot to only be stopped by a rustling noise, looking down I see an open book with a bookmark right next to it.
"Huh I don't remember reading a book" I said bewildered. Picking up the book looking at the cover to find in big bulky letters,

with a picture of a surprised looking girl that had blood running down from the top of her head. "Oh right" I whispered remembering I was reading Carrie beforehand. As I said that I placed the bookmark in the page, softly the book onto the desk while starting to wonder the house. Going to the kitchen I find my mother at the end of the counter placing some bags down, I moved towards her helping to place the last bag onto the kitchen counter.
"You got the lollies" I ask her, while grabbing some stuff out from the bag I placed on the counter and storing it into the cupboard.
"Of course, I did. I also bought some snacks too" Mother replied back, I looked up & hummed to her before going back to storing the rest of the stuff into the cupboard. After finishing all that I took a glance up at the clock. 'Hmm its 2:10' I thought to myself before looking at mum,
"Do you want me to start getting them ready its 2:10" I offered her.
"That would be nice if you can" she uttered.
"Yeah, I'll do it, you need to rest a bit anyway" I answered.
She nodded her head before heading to her room for a rest from her workful day. After she went to her bedroom, I strolled to my little sister's room. Opening their closed door, I find both of them playing with each other,
"Claire Cora, I gonna help you get ready while mum rest" I told my younger siblings, they stopped what they were doing to look up at.
"So one of you gotta have a shower now" I spoke again, as they both nodded.
Cora decided to go first while Claire waits, as they did that, I got out their costumes and accessories for tonight.
"Are you excited Claire" I ask my young sister.
She looked at me with excitement before saying "Yes I'mmm" she dragged out M, then continuing with "super excited. Halloween is the best night of the year; I hope I get a lot of lollies" she twirled around the room. After a bit both of them have finished having a shower, I had done their hair, Cora wanted to have braids & Claire wanted a bun. Their costumes where something ordinary Cora wanted to be a character from a book that was a witch while Claire wanted to be a vampire. By now they had everything on except their capes, as I finished putting their capes on, I checked the time. '3:18, I should wake mum up' I thought then walked to her room, softly knocking on the door, and opening it I called out to my mum
