High School, Now?

It was the dusk of our high school life. The era you kind of want to forget until a time like this. You sighed looking for a club to join this year. You felt like you always do this. You stare at the wall waiting for a club to find you, but with a hearty sigh, you stand up and walk into the halls. Many Seniors walk around the halls chatting final days away with their friends. Somewhere down the hall, you hear someone yell out a loud beeping noise. Odd. You're not one to stand up to bullies, mainly because you don't have any. You're so unpopular that not even bullies care about you. Given that you get lunch for free and go to the local WcDonald only once a school year, you could probably tell why no one would bother you. You guessed that's why you decided this year you'd do something different. You bought extra lunch money and you decided to hang around the WcDonald area more. Anyways, you headed to where you heard the noise to see a short blue-haired kid getting bullied by some dude with mohawked hair.

Mohawked Guy: Hah, lookie what we got here. If it ain't the midget called Bxml.

'Strange name, not the strangest though.' You calmly walked between the bullies and the kid who was being bullied. You grabbed his hand and with a gentle nod walked away with him. The bullies looked furious and charged at you. That was their first big mistake. Their second mistake was grabbing your hand. You quickly used the hand he grabbed and twisted it around yours. He let out a pained howl as another came from your rear but you swiftly hit him with an uppercut. While you weren't looking someone came out with a baseball bat and hit you square in the head. Big mistake.

You swung around and hit their nose. With that most of the bullies cleared out. The short kid that you were trying to help ran off somewhere and you decided you should too. You walked down the middle of the schoolyard and dipped your hands into the fountain. A cool sensation fills your hands. The water feels nice. You drip the edge of your hair into the water. As you let your hair clear itself of the blood, you spot a girl with blonde hair walking around minding her business. You didn't think much at first, but when she turned towards the fountain you were more than curious about where she was headed. Unsurprisingly she stopped at the fountain itself.

Blonde-Haired Girl: Are you (L/N)-San by chance?

As you contemplated if you were going to tell her, she sat on your left. You sighed and shook your head. You know you said that you wanted attention but not everybody all at once.

(Y/N): Yea... did you need something?

She looked at you and smiled.

Blonde-Haired Girl: Nothing really. *Beams* You just seemed like you needed someone to talk to.

Yeah, but, like not one of the most popular girls in school. Grace Gearest. You know the many rumors surrounding this one girl. Some claim her to be a hardcore flirt some say the complete opposite. I do not know which to believe and so I've stayed away from her.

Grace: Hello? Earth to (L/N)-San?

You shook your head.

(Y/N): Huh, what... Sorry, guess I zoned out.

She smiled and shook her head.

Grace: I know people say you zone out a lot, but I didn't think they were this true.

You spit her a small berry you picked a minute ago. It wasn't too squashed as you didn't even put it in your mouth.

Grace: Huh, odd... Where'd this come from?

She looked at you in which you just shrugged. She returns to her beaming smile.

Grace: Well, anyway. I was curious if you'd be busy after-school.
