Sooooooo EQUINOX just came back with their new song, TALK THAT TALK and BOY do I have lots to say about it. Like many STARLIGHTS, I was there for the music video premiere and I genuinely did like the song. Another comeback, another slay from my girlies, mainly OPAL, SEUL,and SONG.
I found the song stuck in my head. Those three who sang the choruses genuinely killed it. But was I 100% satisfied with this era so far? Not exactly as there were so many ways it could've been better.
Honestly, this really isn't discussed as much as it should. But one thing that has been bothering me since EQUINOX's debut is how obvious MIDNIGHT's favoritism towards IROHA is showing. I was absolutely appalled by the teaser photo which just smelled of favoritism.

The main issues of this picture were basically:
1. Why the fuck is everyone else but IROHA looking to the side? 2. They really did JAE dirty. Like you literally can't see her cause her hair is blocking her face. 3. If you really had to make someone the focus of the teaser, should it not be OPAL, who is rightfully the center of EQUINOX?
When I saw the stage for TALK THAT TALK, the clownery did not stop. Why was IROHA at the center of the choreography in the beginning and SEUL at the center at the end? It really is hard to be an OPAL stan sometimes. It's just frustrating to see your fave being mistreated comeback after comeback and it's surprising how nobody has spoken up about it until now.
It also did not make sense how IROHA got the "L-O-V-E" line that MIDNIGHT knew was going to be iconic. OPAL is meant to be the stan attractor of the group, but it's just crazy how every time there is a line that is meant to blow up, MIDNIGHT never considers giving it to OPAL. The clownery is really real here lmao.
I'm sorry IROHA stans, but y'all are really feeding into this favoritism every time y'all overhype her for simply winking at a fancam. I get y'all love her but it's time to think rationally - is it worth celebrating her success when another one of her members is being mistreated?

The MR video for TALK THAT TALK... Holy sh*t, you can barely hear IROHA, LILI sounds like someone is holding her at gunpoint and KANO's voice sounds so frail (it's like a person on life support who had a 90% chance of dying if someone else breathed on them I swear)
Up until now, I have never gotten the hype behind KANO's vocals and it makes me laugh that there are people who genuinely believe she could be the main vocalist in another group. That group would literally flop because of her crusty vocals on God. She's so unstable and shaky I don't know how y'all are hearing tHe JaPaNeSE TaEyEoN like even the entirety of IZ*ONE's J-Line sing better (and they disbanded for a reason).
LILI... you're gonna have to gain confidence or something sweetie. Fear is contagious and you definitely made me feel stage fright FOR you. As for IROHA, her voice isn't just soft. I was genuinely questioning if she was singing at all. You could barely hear her and I had to put my headphones to borderline earr*pe volume just to hear her, and boy was I disappointed. It really wasn't worth the effort and really makes me question what if MIDNIGHT even thinking.

Everyone, especially IROHA stans, take a 6-minute break from screaming over IROHA's smile onstage and go watch JAE and HEIDI fancams right now. It's just disturbing information how theirs rarely ever peak 200K when they're the reason why women are so attractive.
We don't talk about their stage presence enough because the cameraman just refuses to film them it's insulting. They literally get done dirty every comeback. It's time to start appreciating them y'all.

Minus how the song could be 291312812% better had they done line distributing properly, NOAH SONG and GUNO are literally the GOATS for music production and I hope there are more songs coming from them in the album that they will be releasing.

That's all for now. Despite my issues with this comeback, I do think it's a great teaser(?) for the album that is yet to come. I'll do a full review of the album tracks when it comes out and if this video blows up, I'll consider making this into a series.
