Lizzies POV
I'm already running late and the last thing I need is to be late on my birthday. I just turned 18 and people expect you to feel different when you turn a special age, but the truth is, I don't. I feel the same way I always have, alone. Today will be worse though because I'm starting a new school, my senior year, on my birthday. I mean what luck is that? I finally make it to the school and walk inside to find the office, they're having someone show me around. I finally find the office and I see him, a tall dirty blonde-curly haired guy with sun kissed skin and when he smiles it makes two perfect dimples on each side. "Are you lizzie?" he says, and it's only then that I notice that he's made his way over and is right in front of me. I look up at him. "Well, are you?" he asks, sounding annoyed already. "Sorry, yeah. I'm Lizzie" I reply. "Great, Lucas" he says, showing he doesn't want to be here at all. I'm not going to deal with his attitude all day. "You could at least act nice; you might think that you're all big and bad but I'm not going to deal with you treating me like you're better than me because you sure as hell aren't" I say. He doesn't say anything so we both kind of just sit there until an older lady, maybe in her 30-40's comes out, "Lizzie Hathwik" she says in a voice louder than needed. I start walking over to her and Lucas follows. She hands me my schedule and introduces herself as Mrs. Lou, the vice principal. She explains that Lucas will be showing me around, I smile despite what I think of him, but I think he notices because he nudges me. We leave the office after Mrs. Lou hands me my schedule. "Let me see your schedule" Luke demands. " Don't be a dick about it and maybe I will" I retort. "Just give it to me" he says. I really don't want to fight right now so I hand it to him, and he starts laughing, "What's so funny?" I ask, completely confused. "My luck, we have all our classes together. Guess I'm going to be stuck with you all year, this is going to be so fun." he says, sarcasm wreaking from his voice. "YOU'RE STUCK WITH ME?!" I all but yell, "I have no desire to spend my year with an asshat like you" I roll my eyes and walk off, not knowing where I'm going. This is going to be a long year...
