They say knowledge is power if you successfully obtain,

You hear to be cautious of the company you keep, so choose your friends wisely,
yet people are so experienced at being conniving,you cannot see past what the eyes see.
It is true that we are our own worst enemies,
Daily we face ourselves and decide not to change, and then we pretend to be! Be like we are just fine, but if we would only take the time, needed to heal.
Inquiring constantly why oh why do we receive this pain, it's just insane, with ourselves we aren't being real.
They say never fight fire with fire it will only intensify, yet whether boisterous or silent they ignore our pleas and cries!
Looking around trying to figure out why it seems so odd to have peace spread abroad,
In the midst of those speaking as if they seek elevation and prove more of themselves to be frauds.
I still want to know who holds the pen, when so easily there are those willing to follow trends, but with their loved ones and friends they are not willing to make amends.
