Mom returns

Flashback:

"Very nice to see you, Mrs. Onodera." Said Takano. He was trying to be polite. I was failing miserably.

"WTH Are you doing here?!?" I screamed. She slapped me so only Takano can see the pain in my face. He immediately looked at me concerned. He put his hand over my cheek where mom hit me. I put my hand over his.

"Why haven't you visited me?" She sounded pissed. That made a vein pop in my brain. I immediately let go of his hand, and stood up to face my mom.

"WTH are you talking about?!? Your the one who disowned me from the family!" I screamed. She raised her hand to slap me again, but Takano grabbed her arm to stop her.

"Wh-" mom began, but Takano interrupted her.

"DO NOT DO THAT TO RITSU EVER AGAIN!" Screamed Takano. My mom glared at Takano, and pushed him off her. Before Takano reached the floor, I caught him in my arms. When I helped Takano up, I glared at my mom.

"... I'm going to ask you to leave." I demanded.

PRESENT

Onodera POV

Sure, she can hit me. Sure, you can disown me from the family. But the minute you touch Takano, that crosses the line. I don't even care if she is bipolar. Her eyes looked from me to Takano with apologic eyes.

"... I'm sorry." Apologized mom. I fought the urge to slap her back.

"Mom, your bipolar went out of control again." I replied. Takano was pulling my sleeve, obviously expecting answers. He is probably too scared to say anything.

"My mom has bipolar disease." I told Takano. I glared at mom. "If she would have taken her medicine, we wouldn't be in this mess."

"I would like to apologize what my other half has done." Said my mom. That made me even more even more pissed.

"STOP REFERRING TO UR BIPOLAR DISEASE AS YOUR OTHER HALF!!" I screamed. I literally saw her switch from her calm self to her violent self. And the rage she has was sickening. When I realized what happened, it was too late. She started undoing her belt. I pushed Takano away so he won't get hurt. Knowing the drill, I pulled my shirt up, and turned around so my back is exposed.

Takano opened his eyes wide when he realized what is about to happen. I gave him my 'I'm so sorry you have to see this' face. Then she brought her belt down, and hit my back. I let out a shriek of pain. Takano covered his eyes. She hit me over and over again. I squeezed my eyes shut from the pain.

When she was finally done, Takano ran towards me to fix my wounds. I just let him. I looked up to my mom again to see that she switched back to her calm self. She was looking at the scene she just caused with guilt and regret in her eyes. I decided to not say anything. My mom started fidgiting.

"... im going to go home now." Said mom, sounding depressed. Great. Now I feel guilty. She started to walk away. I am going to regret this.

"Mom, wait." I said. Takano and my mom looked at me shocked. Oh, my mom stopped. I took a deep breath, my fresh new wounds still stinging. I winced from the pain.

"... I will give you one more chance to prove that you are my mom. If you accept me and Takano, I will accept you as my mom." I said, smiling. Takano looked at me like I just let out a lion out of a den. She eyed me and Takano carefully.

"The problem is my vicious side. I accept you 100%, but my vicious side doesn't. She's very selfish." My mom said.

"It won't be a problem if you continue eating your medicine." I shot back, confidently. I knew that she would say that. She exhaled deeply.

"I don't want to put you in danger, so I will wait to answer you until I get used to taking my medicine again." Said my mom. I immediately engulfed her into a hug. I am glad she said that she will take the medicine again. She hugged me back tightly. Takano was looking at us very confused.

"I'm going to go home now. I'm very sorry about what I have done to you." Said my mom, sounding guilty.

"It's ok. Just continue taking your medicine." I encouraged her. I gave her a big smile. She then left. Leaving me and Takano trying to process all that just happened.

"I have decided that you have worse parents." Said Takano. He looked at me with pity. I grabbed his hand.

"They are a lot to handle. I'll give you that." I admitted. He looked at me like he was searching my soul for answers. It made me feel oddly exposed.

"I am guessing you have questions ?" I asked, giggling a little in the process. He seemed to snap out of it.

"Sorry. I just don't get it." Said Takano. He seemed to want to say something more, but he eventually just shut his mouth. He probably wants to ask so many questions he doesn't know where to start. The truth is that sometimes I don't even get it. But she is the mom that I was born with.
