A few years ago, when the term meta-human was not a popular topic and super beings were coming at us from left and right. When the last son of Krypton arrived on the scene, everything changed. It was the start of something beautiful for our world. It was a start to a better tomorrow. "Lois!!" A man yelled out the reporter's name while puffing away at a cigar. "Are you prepped for your night with the alien? This is going to be big for your career." Perry White said to the female who stood on the other side of his desk. She was always very professional with her job, but to be honest, this one was worrying her a bit. "I don't know, Perry. What if I give him a bad impression of how human's are? He seems to be superior in every way, after all." The reporter sighed, then took in a deep breath. "I promise not to let you down." Lois spoke with confidence as she left the chief's office.
Later that night at 7:59 PM, Lois sat at a fancy table on her balcony, preparing to meet the man of steel. She knew this would be a great move for her future, but she only cared about making a good impression. She was a big fan and supporter of Metropolis' very own protector. "Oh god, is he even going to show? Maybe he's off in another galaxy..." She poured herself a tall glass of champagne and quickly drank it down to loosen up a bit. The alcohol seemed to work and cause her to relax a bit. She reached for the bottle and poured another one, slamming the bottle back down on the table lightly. After what felt like a full minute of silence, the clock hit eight o'clock. "Good evening, Ms. Lane." Lois jolted up from the sudden voice behind her. The female turned around and gazed over at the man of steel. The long and astonishing moment was perfect, a memory she would never forget. His cape flowed in the wind as he landed on her balcony and approached her. "Oh, hi!" Her voice was clearly a bit nervous to meet him here at her apartment. Lois stood up to her feet and took a few steps towards him, her red heels clicking against the cold marble floor.
The brunette had on an expensive red dress with her matching red heels. She had her hair done and wore makeup, clearly trying to look her best for him, which she successfully did so. "It's good to actually have time to chat with you like this." Lois replied with a gentle smile. The man of tomorrow locked eyes with her and returned the smile. "The feeling is mutual. I'm sorry, did you have plans? You look fabulous." The Kryptonian scanned up and down her body, admiring her outfit choice. Lois couldn't help but compliment herself in her mind 'girl you still got it.. okay back to work' "Oh.. the dress? No, I just threw this on.." She replied rather quickly and tried not to be too obvious. "I'm sorry to drop in like this, but I been thinking.. there must be a lot of questions people in the world have been thinking about asking me." The man spoke firmly, getting right to business. "Ah, yes. Of course." Lois backed up a few steps until her plump backside hit the table behind her. She picked up her notebook then glanced up at him. "Would you like a drink?" She was referring to the bottle of champagne right beside her. "Oh no thanks, I never drink and fly." He replied like a boy scout would, she found that very cute. "Okay. Let's begin. Are you married? Do you have a girlfriend?" The reporter asked with her pen and notepad in her hands. "No. Uh, no I don't but if I did, Ms. Lane, you'd be the first to know about it." He gave her a kind smile as he raised his clenched hand to place it under his chin. The brunette stared over at him with her purple eyes for a few seconds, almost blushing at this point. "Hmm, how old are you?" She asked. "Over twenty one." He quickly replied. The brunette took a moment to analyze his response. "Oh I get it, you don't want anyone to know how.." She cut off her own sentence and wrote down on her notepad his first few answers. "How big are you?" Her eyes flustered up after she heard how that last question sounded then followed up with. "How tall are you." She asked quickly, hoping it wasn't too awkward. "Around six-four and I weigh around two twenty-five." Kal-El didn't find it awkward at all and found her nervousness very adorable.
"I assume the rest of your bodily functions are normal.." She asked while staring into his eyes. "I'm sorry, I beg your pardon?" Clark was a bit confused by her question. "To put it delicately..." She stayed silent for a few seconds, getting lost in his eyes. "...do you eat!?" She suddenly snapped out of it and got the question out. "Yes, when I'm hungry." The strong man said with a light chuckle. "Mhm, okay! Is it true you can see through anything?" The woman asked and took a few steps towards him so she was now about a foot away. "Yes. Anything but lead that is." Superman watched as her hips swayed side to side with every step she took. "Interesting. What color underwear am I wearing?" She lightly teased, half jokingly. "Black lace panties to match the black lace bra." The super man immediately answered the question. Lois' eyes widened and her face blushed all over. She was flattered and at the same time impressed by him. "Wow.. you're right." They had a silent moment as she stared up into his eyes. It was evident that they had lots of chemistry between them. Lois changed the subject and asked a follow up. "Where are you from?" Clark took the question and ran with it. "I'm actually from another galaxy.. a place called Krypton." Lois wrote down 'Cripton' and Clark noticed it. "No, it's K-R-Y." He corrected her mistake with a kind look on his face. "Sorry!" She fixed her mistake and smiled back up at him, locking eyes once again. "Why are you here?" The reporter asked. "I'm here to fight for truth, justice and the American way." The alien spoke boldly which caused her to laugh a bit. "Haha, you're going to end up fighting every elected official in this country." The woman said jokingly.
"Lois, I never lie." Superman said with a straight face, being beyond honest. Lois found herself admiring him more and more with every word he said, like she related with him, but how could she? He was an alien, right? "How fast do you fly?" She shot another question his way. "I don't really know. I never timed myself. Say, why don't we find out?" He said and leaned towards her. The brunette's eyes widened at his offer and she just nodded lightly.
Together they went for a spin around the beautiful Metropolis skies. This was the night Lois found out that Superman wasn't just an alien. He wasn't like what some people wanted to paint him as. He is human and he does belong to this planet.
