"Come on.. Where could they be?"

Pacing back and forth, Giyuu questions your current whereabouts to himself. It's late, past midnight. You informed him you would be back from a mission an hour ago.

Their always back at the time they give. Don't tell me their lost-"

"Hi, Tengen! Sorry it took me so long for me to get back".

You say innocently as you walk in through the door. Before you could get another word out, he interrupts.

"Do you know how worried I've been? I sent out my crow as well as Rengoku's to find you".

"Um.. Why? What's the big deal?" you ask

"What's the big deal? I thought you were killed by a demon! I thought you were- ...with him. ..Please tell me you weren't with Shinazugawa".

"...He's changed" you retort

"He's changed? He's the guy who shouts at you. He's the guy who doesn't pay much attention to you. He's the guy who doesn't give a damn he is in a relationship with you".

"It's not like that" Is all you could say in return. He was right but you didn't want to admit it.

"He keeps playing these same games with you because you allow him to and you wonder if he's the problem. The reason you keep getting hurt is because you let him hurt you. I know you prefer to see the good in people but some people just aren't good for you and you're not good for them. Shinazugawa isn't...good for you. What does he even know about you, anyway? Does he know you like to sit down and have  cup of hot cherry blossom tea on winter evenings? Does he know that you wish on every single shooting star you see? Has you ever been there for you during your hard times? ...Does he even know what your breathing technique is?"

"Why do you care?"

"Why do I care? I care because I am in love with you and you don't see it!"

"I've been in love with you since you joined the Demon Slayer Corps!"

"I didn't-"

"No! Listen to me! I am sick of watching you get taken advantage of! He isn't worth your time! He isn't worth your tears!"

He stabs his sword into the floor.

"I love you and I've loved you for 4 years. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell. I shouldn't have admitted to this to you. I apologize".

"You what..?"

"I love you, Giyuu... I figured I could forget about my feelings for you by being with someone else. I never thought I had any change with you even though I fell for you the day we went on our first mission together".

"[Y/N].."

He walks toward you until he is directly in front of you. He tightly embraces you with his arms and you tear up, burying your face into the crook of his shoulder. You then wrap your arms around his waist. He lifts your chin up and slowly kisses your lips.

He breaks away after a few moments. "I love you, [Y/N]" with tears in his eyes

"I love you too" you respond with tears in your eyes.
