SCENE 8
*Suddenly the light in the room came back on and then off again.*
Ella: I swear if that keeps happening I'm gonna kill someone!
*the other three exchange worried looks*
*the lights keep coming on and off*
Ella: where even are we?
Amber: we're in the utility. I saw the washing machine and the dryer on top. My parents keep bread, some fruit and brioche in here so if we're in here a while we can live on that. There's also a sink over there.
Sam: has anyone even checked if the doors locked?
*ella goes over to the door but trips on something as the lights go out again*
Ella: AHHGGG!!
*ella crawls along the floor to the door and pulls herself up*
*she tried the handle. At first she's convinced that it was jammed but when it hit the lock, amber told Ella to stop otherwise the'll never get out*
Ella: what are we gonna do?
Amber: I've checked how long the lights last for. They are on for 11 seconds and they are off for 36 seconds.
Sam: we better try and find a way out then.
Amber: you can't. This is the utility. The only way out is through the locked door.
*lights go out again*
*there's a noise like paper to wood. After 36 seconds, the light come back on and a note is through the door*
Jason: what does it say?
Ella: I knew you'll get bored of trick or treating when you four saw each other. That's why I thought I'll do a little tick myself. That's it.
Jason: what does it even mean?
*the light go off again*
*ella screams*
Jason: ELLA??!!!
Ella: help!!
Amber: Ella!
Sam: I'm sure she's alright amber! Just stay with me!
*another scream from ella and the lights turn on*
