"Mr. Stark, what do we do with him?"

"We have no idea who the hell he is, and how he came here, nevertheless where the heck he's from."

"What's with the goggles?"

"What's with his outfit, is he from the Medieval Times or something?"

"Nah, I say more of a royal kingdom or something along that line."

"Oh, shut up everyone! We need to think of where we're going to put the guy first."

"Mr. Stark, I think he's starting to wake up..."

Varian's eyes fluttered open, and when his vision came into focus, various figures came into view and he scooted back, only to bump into something... furry.

"Aye, hello there, kid. Welcome aboard Stark Tower." The furry figure turned out to be a raccoon, which reminded Varian of his own pet raccoon Ruddiger. Flashbacks of Corona came into his mind, and he immediately stood up, but started to wobble as the blood rushed to his head.

"Easy there, kiddo," said a soothing voice. "You're okay. You're safe."

"B-but- but," Varian stuttered. "Where's my home? Where's my dad? Where's Corona?"

"Easy," the man in the middle said, moving his hands up and down. "First off, who are you, and how did you get here?"

"M-me?" Varian stammered, pointing at himself. "My- my name's Varian, and I'm from the kingdom of Corona. I need my dad, and my pet raccon, Ruddiger, and my friends, and-"

"Whoa, wait," said the raccoon behind him, "*pet* raccoon?"

"You're a raccoon?" Varian said in shock, and almost tripped while backing away. "Since when did animals talk?"

The man that steadied Varian chuckled. "Ever since the beginning, kid."

Varian shook his head, not wanting to believe what he was hearing. "No way. No way this is all real. Talking animals? No way. I'm dreaming, right? I'll wake up anytime soon in my bed, and my dad will tell me that I was dreaming?"

The raccoon shook his head. "Sorry kid, this is reality, whether you like it or not."

"Some raccoon you are," Varian mumbled.

"Excuse me?" The raccoon's eyebrows shot up.

"You guys have to take me home!" Varian exclaimed. "I don't belong here! I belong in the kingdom of Corona, with my dad! You have to take me home!"

"We can't take you home, kid," a man that was holding a shield said in an annoyingly calm tone said as he stepped forward. "This is your home now, and you need to-"

"No!" Varian interrupted. "Please, you don't understand! I *have* to go home."

A slightly bigger guy that seemed to have green skin and glasses walked forward and put both hands on Varian's shoulders. "We're so sorry," he said. "But you have to stay here. I wish we could find a way to take you home but... we can't. You have to accept that, and we have to accept that."

Varian hung his head, and collapsed into the chair next to him. "So... you mean to say that I'll be... homeless?"

The guy with the glasses looked kind of shocked as he immediately said, "What? No way kid, you're going to diffidently going to have a home. We just... need to discuss it. You see, all of us here?"He gestured to everyone that was standing in the weird outfits behind him. "We're superheroes. We save the city, so we're always busy. But if we could find someone who could take you in..."

"We can," a tall guy with a black and red suit stepped forward.

"Scott," the glasses guy stood up and faced him. "Are you sure? You and Hope are always busy with your research and-"

"It's fine, Bruce," Scott reassured him. "We can take the kid. I'm sure Hank won't mind having company for a while." He glanced over at Varian and gave him a reassuring smile.

"Really?" Varian was surprised to find his voice was filled with hope. "You guys won't mind?"

"Of course we won't," Scott said. "Though I hope you won't mind us going on errands once in a while for Avenger stuff, and having robotic ants roaming around in the house."

It took a second for Varian's brain to register the "robotic ants" part of that sentence. But he honestly didn't care. He needed a home, and so he immediately stood up, not caring about the dizziness that came with it. "I'll come," he told Scott. "I don't mind robotic ants at all, even though we don't get ants where I'm from."

Scott chuckled. "It's settled then. Tony, you're good with this, right?"

The guy in the middle that had a glowing metal piece on his chest sighed. "I guess, for now." He glared at Varian. "But if this kid causes any trouble, you're out." He pointed a finger at him.

Varian nodded. "I understand, sir," he said confidently. "I'll do my best here, and, um, I'll try not to blow stuff up."

The colour seemed to drain from Bruce's face. "Blow stuff up?" He repeated. "What do you mean by that, kid?"

Varian let out a nervous laugh. "Heh, um, nothing," he said, hoping that was convincing. "Nevermind."

"Come on, then," Scott came over and placed an arm on Varian's shoulders. "Let's get going. I'm sure Hope has dinner ready, so you can introduce yourself at dinner. How does that sound?"

"Sounds great," Varian said, smiling. "And dinner sounds great to, 'cause I'm starving."

As the two of them left, Bruce Banner whispered to Tony, "Are you sure about that kid, Tony? We don't even know a lot about him yet."

"Oh, I'm sure we will, with time," Tony answered, crossing his arms. "With time."
