I shake my head, looking up from my phone to see Kahlil leaning out the window of his car. Yesterday was his first day out. Been waiting on him to hit the block but I understood when he said he wanted his first day out to be spent with his moms and his little sis.
"Yo Settty, ride with me. I got some shit to deliver." Kahlil says and I nod.
It's not like I got shit else to do. I put my phone back in my pocket and open the passenger side door, nearly sitting on a bouquet of a flowers in the seat.
"This for Lex?" I ask, putting them in my lap and closing the door.
"Nah, my lil sister." Kahlil shakes his head, starting the car, "I know you never met her but... that's my heart. Shit, I been taking care of her since I was a kid. Like, I learned how to walk and then I had to turn around and teach her too."
