Kozume Kenma and Kuroo Tetsurou couldn't have been more different and yet they seemed to be two parts of one whole. Like tide and flow, day and night, yin and yang. It was almost natural, the way they completed each other almost as if they couldn't exist without each other. In a constant pull and push of concepts they lived side by side. No distance too far if they walked it together, no obstacle to difficult if the other was right there. Right there on Kuroos rooftop where they escaped the real world. A perfect hideaway from problems, hardships and the hard facts of reality. On Kuroos rooftop the stars looked more bright and beautiful than everywhere else, they thought. But it wasn't until Kuroo was alone on his rooftop for the first time in years that he realized that it wasn't the rooftop that added magic to the stars, it was Kenmas presence. The stars looked dull and out of place if he couldn't admire them from the reflection of Kenmas eyes. And suddenly Kuroo realized that the eternity of the stars, that they always talked about, seemed so awfully long without Kenma by his side. A soft and painful smile formed on Kuroos lips, now that he had finally admitted to the fact that he had uncontrollably and inevitably fallen in love with Kozume Kenma. The introverted boy he looked after since they were kids. He knew that no matter how their story would've went, he would've fallen for Kenma in every version of their life. No matter if they went to the same school or played volleyball together, as long as he knew that he'd meet Kenma he knew that he would've fallen for him. He was sure of it. Their souls were bound to meet, bound to be connected, meant to be together. As if called for Kenma climbed out the window and sat next to Kuroo on his usual place. „I told you i'd come today", Kenma said. „Took you long enough." They both smiled at each other and lost themselves in the night sky. Moments of silence passed by, nothing unusual after a long day. The silence between them didn't bother them, they were so used to each other that words weren't always needed. But today was different, it felt like there where thousands of words unspoken, a thick wall that muted them out from each other. Kuroo took a leap of faith, a big risk and took Kenmas hand, proceeded to turn to him and put his other hand on Kenmas cheek. While his heart was going bunkers Kenma seemed like peace himself, as if he waited for this moment. Slowly Kuroos face got closer to Kenmas until the gap between their faced closed and their lips interwined. When Kuroo realized that Kenma didn't reject him the kiss got deeper, more desperate. It felt like years of fear and unresolved feelings dissolved in that one kiss that set them both free that night, when the stars looked more amazing than ever. „Finally", Kenma interrupted the kiss „i've waited so damn long for you to realize i almost got worried you didn't love me that way". Kuroo smiled „you could've made the first step too, you know". „I was afraid, like a lot" Kenmas smile was filled with relief. „You knew i would realize it someday, didn't you?" Kuroos eyes shined brighter than the stars right now. „Still, it took you long enough"
