She went upstairs and got ready for bed, so happy to even notice the empty room across from her

Nico's room.

Evelyn woke up and got ready for the day, but when she walked past Nico's room she noticed the door was opened, and Nico wasn't there, so she assumed he was down stairs, but when she went downstairs but he wasn't there either, the kitchen didn't seemed like it was used, no dirty dishes or leftover food

Evelyn was starting to worry, she checked her phone to see if he had texted her or called her, but there were no new notifications
(felt that🥲)

She tried calling him on her phone but it went straight to voicemail, she tried texting him too but I was just left on delivered

The worry quickly turned into panic, her brother is nowhere to be found, he wasn't answering calls, or reading his text, she wasn't even sure he went home last night, what is she gonna do now, she didn't have Finn's number so she couldn't call him, she decided to go to the store to see if he's there, maybe he's working and doesn't have his phone on him

She walked into the store and saw Zoe in the counter

"Hey Ev! What are you doing here? Wasn't today your day off?" She asked, Evelyn pushed her glasses up before answering

"Has Nico come into work today?" Evelyn asked, Zoe looked confused and a little concerned

"No actually, Natalie was about to call him to ask why he wasn't here yet, why is everything ok?" Zoe asked even more concerned, she noticed Evelyn looked pale and she looked a little scared, Evelyn ran a hand through her hair

"Ok, thanks Zoe" she said ignoring Zoe's questions then turned to leave, as she was walking away she could hear Zoe calling for her, she just kept going until she got back to her car

While driving Evelyn tried to think of anymore places where Nico could be but she couldn't think of anything, then she though about the spell book douxie gave her, maybe there's a spell there that can help her find him, she stoped at a gas station then she grabbed the spell book from her bag and started skimming through the book

she kept flipping pages until she found a tracking spell she could do, she read the page and it said it just needed something that belonged to the person she is trying to find

She looked around in her car, there's definitely something of his in the car, she looked in the back and found an old yellow hoodie, Evelyn hates wearing orange so it's definitely Nico's

She held up the book with the steering wheel and made sure no one was watching, then started reading the incantation as she focused her magic onto the hoodie, her eyes glowed red as she spoke, and the hoodie started glowing red too, for a minute it seemed like it was working, the hoodie started making a humming noise and started lifting in the air, Evelyn unknowingly smiled a little when she saw it was working, but all of the sudden it stopped, the humming, the glowing, it just stopped

"Huh...?" Evelyn said softly in confusion, she was sure she did the spell correctly, so why wasn't it working? What did she do wrong?

She tried again but nothing was happening this time, she tried a different spell, didn't work, she went through the book front and back to find anything that could help but nothing was working

She threw the book to the passenger seat and leaned back into the car seat with a sigh, what is she supposed to do now? What CAN she do?

She didn't want to go to the cops, so she though about asking douxie for help, but he was at work right now, she's not gonna bother him with that,

she had another option, but she REALLY didn't want to do it, but there was nothing else she could do, and he DID say he could help them out if they needed anything

After thinking about it she decided to call him, as much as she didn't want to do it, she took out her phone and called the phone number, she put the phone to her ear and it rang for a few seconds before someone answered

"Hello?"

"Is this athalor?"

"Who wants to know?"

"It's Evelyn, I need your help"
