Third Person POV
Meanwhile.
On the second day of the school opening, he agreed himself to enter this day than yesterday. A student whom also participated in the new government educational program walked through the school premises long after the ringing of the bell marking that the class was started, he came late. Because of his golden glazed hair and fixed in a recently popular hairstyle, handsome face that can be visualized like a royalty prince and perfectly partnered to his eyes even though the pupil's dye is only pure black, certain students who crossed upon his path in the hallway were being attracted to the image of this individual. Charles Esperon, a fine looking very young man. Unlike all the other enrollees in the program were mostly returning students whom halted their education for a year or so, he was a transferee with unknown reason.
New to the campus, he didn't have a clue to his destination as he was wandering around looking for it. He gave up to his searching and asked a fellow student that he spotted upon, a female one. He didn't need to have her attention as the female student was already looking to him with a sly expression showing on her face.
"Excuse me, did you know where this room is?" He inquired after he approached her displaying the pamphlet and noting out the room number that was written on it.
The female student suddenly altered her expression to a fallen love struck as she heard his voice that was very soothing. "Y-you can proceed to this hallway and t-take a turn at the end and you'll b-be able to see it." Directing out the way by her hands, she answered back scarcely to him.
Shinbei expressed his thanks in an elegant manner to the girl and went straight away. The girl released out all of her courage to ask the name of him before they get separated apart. "You can call me Mustang." Walking out to the designated room, he answered when he left behind the girl with both of his hands inserted on the side pockets. The girl acted strange when she heard his name and it was another story afterwards.
Charles or rather Mustang found the room and took a glance to the window without being noticed in order to locate his friend Kuro, but he wasn't inside. Figuring out where Kuro would went, the first answer that came out is the infirmary. His decision was quick and left again, skipping the class and giving a side comment that the teacher was kind of familiar to him. He spotted again another female student and gave an inquiry for the location of the infirmary and the same development happened. The rumor about the name of a fine student spread quickly and it was another story again.
The time he came near to the infirmary, he spotted Kuro leaving the place. "Never thought that theory is pretty handy." Mustang greeted Kuro when they saw each other.
Kuro already knew that Mustang leaving from his room and went to the living room was peculiar just like yesterday, yet it became weirder that he came outside the house, and even more bizarre when Kuro noticed that he was attending the same class as him based from the pamphlet that Mustang was holding. But the oddest one is that Mustang had a stunning appearance unlike what he really look like back at the house. Out of all this obnoxious scenario, Kuro abruptly accepted it as he heard about the theory.
"I don't know what will happen to you, if you kept using it." Kuro shrugged out.
"Don't worry, it is my first time using it and will be the last, maybe," They tugged each other with their fist. "Unlike the person who talks about it."
"I do it as long as there was a reason." Kuro answered him.
"Yet all of them died," Mustang also remembered of what happened yesterday about the lottery and he questioned it out to Kuro also that why he did it in the first place and continued to complain as it was an unreasonable one, but halted the matter midway when he a recalled a certain name that randomly generated seven times. "Don't tell me it was because of her?" Mustang became serious from being annoyed.
Mustang was talking about their deposition, a matter where the said generated name was produced by a series of command line in different ways, random alphabets, random digits, random category, random pattern, random aspects, random characterization, and random sequence. The procurement of the name was done from his high-tech laptop by a software he developed, and it was a feminine one so that's why Mustang referred as 'she' where the name is stated as Mitsuki Tanehara.
This action was also done many times before, since a year ago. The folks that had the same name whom nearest from them was died in a fixed time scale right after it was generated, exactly twenty four hours. The individuals had a wide range of traits, be it old or kid, famous or not, rich or poor. At first, they weren't aware of it as Kuro proposed to Mustang about the theory with different idea from what it was supposed to be and tested as a start. They noticed it later on and tried to save the said individuals by any means as long as the government wasn't involved due to circumstances, but failed in the end no matter what. Even if they terminated this method, every second, someone will always die as a fact and they assumed that the names, whoever it was, where just earlier outcome for the death toll of that person. But for Mitsuki Tanehara, it's already been more than a week since her name was generated.
Kuro also became serious when he heard Mustang mentioning Tanehara-san "So that is the reason you are here." Both of them said it at the same time but their method looking for her was different.
Their topics changed drastically and Mustang started talking. "I check in every obituary after a couple of days since the duration ended and reported to you that I didn't found anything. I search the closest one that still alive instead and surprisingly, you were there."
Mustang used the method of information from the sea of knowledge and other paraphernalia's, and found out at the last minute where the name was enrolled in a certain program and he also noticed that Kuro was also part of it.
"Same here, it is very strange and entirely different from before and it is a promising one." Kuro agreed back.
Kuro used the theory with his strong courage in order to find her even though he had more knowledge to it than Mustang, because regardless of the truth when it comes to that theory, he still had some doubts on it as fate cannot be controlled or foresee by any measures and it was too mysterious that by applying it might have some consequences. Kuro had a doubt that encountering her was imaginary, but he didn't expected that they will be able to meet to each other very soon. He convinced to himself somehow that the theory can be proven when he attempted the lottery as the latest experiment and he will continue to work it out to find the flaw because the future had an infinite of options.
Mustang also reported to Kuro that his software started malfunctioning and fried out, and they both concluded that there was more into this phenomena. The possibility of her to die in every single day at marked time or anytime was still high.
"One thing."
"Yeah?"
"You didn't apply for the program, yet how did you..."
"I've got abundance of resources. Hehe."
And their objectives remained unknown.
