Addertail silently followed the other cats. They were approching MistClan territory, and they had to cross it without being caught.

"Make sure you don't get spotted!" Vinetail mewed. She has to always point out the obvious, doesn't she? Addertail thought. It was just because she was MistClan. All the MistClan warriors like to boast about how good their clans are.

Addertail kept walking. Just then, He slipped and fell into the ice-cold river. "Help!" He called.

Marshyfur sprinted along the side of the river, and then sprang on top of a big rock which was sitting in the water, unmoving. Marshyfur grabbed him by the scruff, but Addertail's weight must of been to much for him, because he slipped and splashed into the river as well.

"Stop standing there like lemons and help us!" Addertail called. He couldn't believe how lazy Thorntooth and Vinetail were.

Vinetail and Thorntooth pelted along side the river, until they reached him and Marshyfur.

"Thanks," Addertail wheezed as he and Marshyfur got heaved out of the freezing water.

"Look on the bright side, at least we are out of MistClan territory," Marshyfur pointed out.

What Marshyfur said was true, but he was still  cold, hungry, and soaking wet!

"Hills!" Thorntooth exclaimed. Great. He had to climb the steepest hills he had ever seen now.

"Can we rest under this tree first?" Addertail asked, "I am exausted!"

"Sure," Thorntooth replied, "I am pretty tired myself!"

The four cats rested under a giant oak tree. Addertail almost collapsed under his feet, and he then he shut his eyes, and fell asleep.
