Jaemin was waiting for Hana infront of the cafe as he told her to meet him there. He was sitting there for like twenty minutes but there was no sign of Hana.
Is she seriously not coming?
He just completed his second cup of coffee when his eyes went to the other side of the road through the cafe glass wall as he noticed a clumsy Hana struggling with few of her exercise books in her hands while she crossed the road hurrily.
She opened the door entering the cafe with a frown on her face as her eyes immediately landed on a smiling Jaemin staring at her from a distance.
"You are 20 minutes late."
"Was I even supposed to come at first place?"
"No, but you did come, so you are late."
"Feel lucky at least I came." , she said gathering up all her belonging to put inside her bag.
"You are so unorganized.", he said unsure of the fact whether she heard him or not.
"None of your business. Plus I was late to complete my tasks today so I couldn't put up things properly before leaving." , she said after a few seconds.
"Oh. I legit completed two cups of coffee waiting for you. What you wanna have?"
"Nothing. I don't have that much money with me today."
"Don't worry I will pay. Afterall it's our first date."
"Excuse me?! Date? You think I'm here with you for a date? I barely know you. I just came coz you wanted me to and I didn't want myself to be so rude."
"But I know you. So it's a date for me. Don't worry I'm a nice guy."
"You said that before too. That's the question. How do you know me?"
"I have my sources"
The time passed so quick with them speaking about themselves, their college life and other such topics people generally speak on their first meet up and as usual Hana didn't open up much about her family background to him, how she is frequently abused by her stepmother. The only person to know about this was her bestie Jisung. Soon she realised it was almost 6 pm and she need to reach home and do the homestuffs as her mother told her to do on time.
"I need to get going now. Thanks for the coffee though."
"Are you in hurry? It's not yet 6 though."
"Yeah I mean, I will miss my bus so- See you later bye."
Before Jaemin could reply anything she hastened her pace and left the cafe not even glancing back at the boy standing still with his hands in his pockets. It was the moment Jaemin noticed that Hana in a hurry left her airpods on the table that they were sharing a few moments ago.
