GlitchTrap flickers into existence next to William, kneeling down and resting a hand on his shoulder. "It wasn't your fault, Willy. I didn't listen to you. I should've stopped when you told me to."
"I shouldn't have let you take control in the first place," Will whispers back, broken smile still upon his lips. He's not paying attention to the fact that Henry can hear everything he's saying. "I wanted them to stay with me. I wanted it so badly. But I couldn't stomach what I had to do in order to get it."
"See? You aren't a killer," Glitch tries to joke, falling flat.
"Accession to murder is just as bad. And I did kill people, I just didn't enjoy it," Will corrects him.
"Who are you talking to?" Henry asks, drawing the attention back to him.
Will shakes his head, ready to pass it off as him being insane, but Glitch stops him. "Wait, let me talk to him."
"No, don't-" Will tries to stop him, but like always, he's ignored.
Henry's eyesight goes black, and then a yellow bunny in purple clothes appears. "Who the fuck are you?" he shouts, jumping to his feet. "Where the hell am I?"
"In your mind." The bunny flicks out of sight and then pops up closer, the smaller distance letting Henry see where he glitches in and out of sight. "And I'm GlitchTrap."
"So you killed my daughter." Henry walks over to him. "Why?"
"I didn't know who she was." Glitch flashes back out, then appears again, standing on the ground this time. "What Will said is true - he tried to stop me before I killed her, but I didn't listen. It might have been his hand who put the knife in her, but I was the one controlling it."
Henry rubs a hand over his eyes, dragging it down over his face. "So... he didn't do anything?"
Glitch shrugs. "Not to her, no. And the other kids he killed were only because he wanted to be with you."
"I think he was more concerned about his family." Henry dismisses. "His kids and wife mean more to him than just an old friend."
"I don't think 'just an old friend' is the right classification." GlitchTrap smirks. "And he doesn't have a wife - they got divorced before she died."
"The how come they still talk?" Henry asks.
"It wasn't because one of them did something wrong. They'd both wanted to, but they stayed together because of the contract they both signed. Once the time they agreed to ran out, they got divorced. They're still friends, though."
Henry hums slightly. "I guess that makes sense."
"Well, I'd say they both lost feelings, but-" Glitch chuckles, "Will never had them in the first place. He always had his eye on you."
Henry flushes. "We- we were a long time ago."
"You do realize his original plan for immortality was just him and you, correct?" Glitch asks. "He only had kids with Clara because he thought you lost feelings."
Henry opens his mouth to respond, but no sound comes out.
"Ah, well, I think I might die a second time if I keep talking to you, so-" Glitch lifts a hand in farewell. "See you!"
Henry's sight brightens, until swaths of color form into Will's face.
"Henry?" Will asks, hands on his shoulders. "What happened?"
"I forgive you."
