Henry Mills knew that when he saw lights outside flickering and looking like it came from magic that something was wrong. In Storybrooke, when lights flickered, it was never good.

"Oh no." Henry heard someone mutter. In Henry's thirteen years of living he knew a lot about weird things. Like the fact his grandparents, everyone in this town, were fairy-tale creatures. This topped it though. Henry watched as black whimsical things flew about in the air, swirling and dancing. Straight towards...

"Mom!" Henry bolted for the door, but a meaty hand held onto him.

"Stay right here." Granny said as she protectively wrapped an arm across his shoulders. Henry watched as the black swirl started to swirl around his adoptive mother, Regina Mills former mayor of the town.

"What is that?" Someone yelled. The black swirling things seemed to have a mind of their own, almost like they were demons, trying to possess his mother. Henry did a quick head count outside. He saw his grandparents, Snow White and Prince Charming, his mom's boyfriend Robin Hood, his birth mother Emma, and her boyfriend Killian Jones (known as Captain Hook to others). Where is Belle? Henry thought.

Henry could hear the faint sound of shouting. Robin Hood ran forward, but ricocheted off the black mist.

"Oh my word." Granny mumbled, tightening her grip on Henry.

More shouting, his mom (Emma) advanced forward. Hook ran forward and grabbed her hand. They were close, their foreheads together. Then with a shove Hook was away from Emma and she put her hand in the mist. The mist left Regina, now swirled around Emma. Faster than earlier.

"Mom no!" Henry yelled. Henry tried to run forward but was held back by Granny.

"Mom!" She was gone. The black whimsical mist swirled up in the air, along with his mother.

"Oh my word." Granny mumbled. Henry watched as something fell into the street, his grandmother rush forward and scoop up whatever fell into the street. Henry watched as Regina, Robin Hood, Snow White, and Prince Charming hurried toward Granny's.

"Where's Emma?" Leroy said as soon as everyone was inside.

"Everyone sit down, a lot happened." Henry heard someone groan.

"Why can't nothing happen?" Henry agreed whole-heartedly. Henry sat down on a bar stool as his grandpa, David better known as Prince Charming, of the tale of helping Rumpelstiltskin, what happened to the darkness that was in him, and Emma becoming the Dark One.

"Our Savior is the Dark One?" Someone said.

"I'm afraid so, we need to find Merlin as soon as possible to stop this. To save Emma." Hook jumped in.

"What can I do?" Henry piped up.

"Nothing, for now we get some rest and we will start in the morning trying to help Emma." His grandfather said. Henry opened his mouth to protest.

"Henry," Regina started. "Right now the best way we can help Emma is by figuring out our plan with a clear mind. Which means we get some rest. Which includes you."

"Especially you." Robin interjected. "You're the hero this time. Heroes need their rest."

"I'm not a kid you do know you don't have to talk to me like I'm one." Henry pointed out.

"You'll realize when you're older that thirteen is quite young." Hook told him and patted Henry on the back.

"This is who you are Henry." Regina started again. "A hero, right now you need to gather your thoughts so you know what to do." She took his hands. "Okay?" Herny sighed and nodded.

"Okay." He let out in a soft whisper.

First stop I'll pretend to sleep, second stop is Gold's. Henry thought.

"And no sneaking out tonight." Hook said.

Well drat.
