Orochimaru kept to a schedule of how he handled his school work. He would chuckle and sometimes roll his eyes when Jiraiya made jokes. Despite Tsunade saying she would like to date someone like him he felt no attachment to her like that. They were both his friends. Orochimaru would slip away from his friends to walk into the library which he came to most days and moved to sit in a quiet nock as he placed his work and books on the table to study. Times like this he felt peaceful. The nock was spacious enough it was easy to fit one other person and sometimes Tsunade would join him to study but Jiraiya would ruin the peace if he came along as well. "I got 2 assignments I need to get done." he said softly to himself.

Kabuto peaked around the corner of a shelf as he blushed lightly 'He is here again....and he is alone this time. Should I....-No...I couldn't bare to approach him.' he thought to himself as he quietly moved to sit so he would watch and admire him some without bothering the older teen. He wished he was brave enough to talk to him. 

Time would march by as the two studied apart and soon enough Orochimaru would stretch a bit feeling stiff. 'I am almost done with my studies, Soon I will have to work on training.' he sighed softly as he realized he had forgotten to pack food for himself to eat after turning in his work. "I guess I may have to grab myself something to eat before training." He said softly but it had been loud enough for his shy admirer to hear. 

Kabuto would pulled out some of his snacks and moved over to him as he avoided eye contact. "Uuummm, I heard you say something about not packing food...w-would you like these?" he said offering some of his snacks to Orochimaru making him blink. Orochimaru looked over him taken aback by the offer. He wasn't use to others offering him much, he lived on his own since his parents passed. He couldn't turn the boy down. "Sure, thank you." he say as he softly took the snacks from Kabuto. "I have a little more work to do first but..." he looked around a little and felt a little shy since he didn't really talk to people outside of his team much. "If you want to come sit here with me you can." He finished his offer.

Kabuto blushed softly as he nodded softly. Before going to get his things to move them over to sit with him. Orochimaru felt a bit bashful as he sat back down with the younger boy sitting across from him as they would study. Once he had finished his work Orochimaru would start packing his books away when he noticed some of Kabuto's books. "Are you studying to be a medical ninja?" He asked him curiously. 

Kabuto looked up from his books meeting Orochimaru's curious gaze which he regretted as he couldn't break eye contact with those stunning eyes. "Y-yes, I h-have been studying for a while now....i-it's why I haven't been put onto a team yet. A-as I have been focusing on m-my studies." he said blushing a bit darkly. Orochimaru gave him as soft smile that made him feel like his heart skipped a beat. "One of my friends studies medical ninjutsu maybe I can ask her to give you a bit of help training." he said and all Kabuto could do was nod. "I will see you around." Orochimaru would then leave to go turn in his work and go train.

Kabuto watched him before letting out the breath he didn't realize he was holding. "H-he actually t-talked to me." he said softly as he let his glee bring a bright smile to his face. He had been noticed by his crush. Maybe he could find out if he would even be interested in dating another boy. He let out a deep breath to calm down. He knew soon enough he would have to head home to go practice medicine making back at the orphanage. He sighed as he packed up his things. "I will need to join a team so I can earn money soon so I can move out." he said softly to himself before going home to mix medicine for the other kids.

Weeks would go by and sometimes when Orochimaru was alone Kabuto would ask to sit with him and study. The felt peaceful and felt like Orochimaru was warming up to him. Though he got too shy to be come up to Orochimaru if his friends were with him. One day as Orochimaru was packing up he would say "Kabuto my team will be gone on a mission which we leave for in the morning so I wouldn't be here for a while." He said wanting to not worry his friend. Kabuto swallowed softly "I see, I hope you are successful and return safely." Kabuto said as he hid his worry. Orochimaru would pat his shoulder. "I am telling you as outside my team you are my only friend. So stay out of trouble while I am gone." Kabuto blushed and nodded "I will do my best Orochimaru." And with this he left and Kabuto had to take a few deep breaths. "I am important to him...." he then pouted a little "But am I only going to be his friend?" he sighed and shook his head.
