With another 6 months passing their anniversary was approaching. Things have been going grandly as they took care the chores together. Tsunade had come to be great friends with Kabuto, so he knew if he needed advice he could ask her, weither it be about medical ninjutsu or about Orochimaru. Jiraiya on the other hand liked to tease Kabuto a bit and joke around. Kabuto wouldn't take any of it too harshly since he was Orochimaru's teammate. 

As their anniversary would get closer Kabuto would ask Tsunade to help him pick out a present and stuff to decorated the house as a surprise to Orochimaru for their anniversary. Which seeing how big the younger teen smiled she couldn't say no. So they would go shopping together to help Kabuto get everything he needed. It was just when they were done that she got news she was called for a mission with her team. With a sad glance to him, she would go report in to see what was the mission about.

Orochimaru's shoulders sagged a bit as he stood there with his team to be told they had to leave for a mission which would take maybe a week. Orochimaru sighing when they were dismissed. He hated that he would be away from Kabuto on their exact anniversary but figured he would make it up when he arrived back. Walking back home he knew he would have to leave in the morning so he would apology some to Kabuto before he left. 

Kabuto had everything hidden in his medical study room he had setup with Orochimaru's help. He didn't want things to be spoiled but he wondered what mission his belove's team was going to be sent on. He sighed as he grinded some herbs to make tea  and finish a batch of food pills he wanted to give some to his beloved and Tsunade as a 'thank you' for helping with the anniversary ideas. Just as he was putting the finishing touches on them did he hear the door and thus Orochimaru's arrival home.  "Welcome home dear" He called as he left the door to the room open as he would divide up and bag the food pills into 2 for Orochimaru and Tsunade. Before coming out with that and a box with the tea he had prepared. It just needed to be put in water to make tea. He gave a soft sad look when he saw how his beloved seemed upset. "Is there something wrong Orochimaru?" He asked softly before hearing his love sigh. "My team will be setting out on a mission in the morning and will be gone near a week....So I may miss our anniversary." He said softly which Kabuto would place what he was carrying down before hugging him gently. "It's okay dear, We are shinobi it's to be expected that we can't always be available for personal things as we have important work to do." The younger teen smiled at him which made Orochimaru give a weak chuckle  as he placed his hand on Kabuto's cheek moving just so he could look into his lover's eyes. "You're right and so understanding my dear Kabuto." His voice was soft and he gently kissed Kabuto for a semi short kiss before pulling back. "Sadly it means I will need to pack to be ready in the morning....Will you be okay with cooking tonight?" He asked which Kabuto nodded "Yes and actually -" He moved away to pick up the two bags of food pills he had just finished making "I made you some food pills" he say handing him one of the two bags. Orochimaru smiled softly "Thank you Kabuto" he would kiss the younger teen's cheek before going to their room to pack for the mission he had to leave for in the morning.

Kabuto held a blushy smile as he watched him go to their room. He would go walk to the kitchen and get dinner started as well as work on warming some water to make tea. He hummed a little as he worked. He would think of all the things he could do to make sure everything was wonderful when his belove returned, a soft smile on his lips as his mind wondered.

Orochimaru would carry his supplies to set them near the door before going to the dinning room, a smile coming to his lips as he saw Kabuto had laid the food out and made tea. Orochimaru chuckled softly. "Did I ever tell you how amazingly wonderful it is to have you here?" Kabuto blushed a little as he smiled. "Not in those words but you have shown it in ways as we both enjoyed this, living together when missions don't have us separated. We even have trained some together which is wonderful but of course nothing matches your swordsmanship." This made Orochimaru chuckle a bit thinking about it. "True, I had to make sure I stopped short not to hurt you my dear." The calm in his voice made the younger teen blush a bit. Kabuto would pour them both some tea before they ate.
