Third Person's POV

Jungkook stood on the balcony. The thought of his deceased child made him sad. He pressed his lips together in a tight line.

Right, the child wasn't his.

Ji-hu..

To be honest, Jungkook wishes the child was his. He was there when he was born; he was the one who named him, and he was with him until the day he died. Jungkook truly loved the child; he stood as his parent and did not abandon him, unlike what his own parents had done to him.

Despite the fact that he deeply regretted it, he still chose the child.

And it still hurts to think about how wrong that choice was. That child was his karma for hurting Jimin.

"Jungkook,"

When Jungkook heard that voice, he snapped out of his trance. Jungkook turned to face him, and Jimin waved his hand at him. He was looking at the younger with a duvet enveloped all over his small frame.

"It looks like you're in deep thought." He pointed out, Jungkook can't bring himself to answer that.

"I'm guessing... you miss your child." At that point, he felt himself getting tense at what he had said. He just guesses what's on his mind.

"The baby's probably cute, like his father," Jimin chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

"You're right about that," Jungkook lied, looking away.

"I'd like to see your child's pictures, though," He said excitedly. "I don't have my phone right now, but I'll send you one later." Jungkook said confidently.

"Great!" Jungkook's lips curled into a smile. He didn't think Jimin would accept the child, which is why he didn't want to bring up Ji-hu. Jimin seemed to be delighted, and truthfully, Jungkook didn't want to ruin the moment by telling him, but he had to.

"But... hyung." They both looked in the other's direction. "Ji-hu... my son, he's not with us anymore." Jimin's eyes widened, and Jungkook quickly turned his head away.

Jimin's hold on the piece of clothing covering him grew tighter as he pieced the puzzle together. He felt his chest twist in excruciating sorrow- Dabi and Jungkook weren't together solely because they both lost the child.

Jimin gathered himself, swallowed the pain inside, and spoke, "I'm..." He trailed off, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to bring this up so casually."

"No," Jungkook said, shaking his head. "Don't apologize," He says, unable to look the smaller man in the eyes.

The air was piercingly quiet.

Jungkook couldn't bear to tell Jimin that Ji-hu isn't his son. Maybe because Jungkook doesn't want Jimin to feel sorry for him. He doesn't want the smaller male to treat him differently or to give him reason to trust Jungkook again. He'll earn that with the way Jungkoook knows. He won't be using Ji-hu for that.
