Prologue: A Phantomhive's Return (MANGA SPOILERS)

"How was I supposed to react when I found out the one family member I had left, is an impostor? No, maybe I am being too cruel for my own good.." Valerie's thoughts disorganized from the recent events she had seen with her own eyes. Unsure how to feel if she had to be honest, while someone such as her cousin, Elizabeth, had every right to be upset. Thinking about it again, over and over again. It only brought chills down her spine.

Couple hours ago:

All I heard was chaos, even authorities were involved, as I stood next to my cousin, Elizabeth. She had already cried enough while she was with me, it hurt to see those I care about cry or in pain. When the moment felt right, she held my hand as we stood on top of the staircase. I glanced at my younger brother's face, the now "impostor" Ciel. For once in almost 4 years, I have see him truly in some state of fear...he'd always been so hard to read. But now in this currant situation, it seemed that it was impossible to lie any longer when the truth is right in front of all of us.

"It's true. Ciel is not lying..." Elizabeth spoke, still obviously devastated of how , her letting go of my hand as she points directly at "impostor" Ciel.

"...The one who was lying to all of us this whole time...was him"

"Ciel" glances at Elizabeth first, before at me. I can see his lips move slowly, but he was too far for me to hear what he could have said. As much as I loved both of my younger brothers...I don't believe I can forgive "Ciel" for this so quickly. Sebastian, the butler I had trusted despite him appearing out of thin air basically after Ciel had been missing for a month, bows. Respect? Apologetic? Sympathy? If anything, he must be apart of this too.

Elizabeth had gotten into a lot of trouble, I should have been in much trouble as her if "Ciel" were to find out before this that I have been with Elizabeth the entire time and not told him even one ounce of information. But I suppose "Ciel" would figure that out now, that even I had went behind his back.

And before I knew it, "Ciel" and Sebastian were taken away and under arrest, as even Lizzie had to return home. I reassured her that everything from here on out will be alright, I will be there when she needs me. I promised even.

"Valerie..I feel terrible..I just can't-" Elizabeth voice already sounds like she was on the verge of tears once again, finding comfort in her cousins touch, as Valerie held her younger cousin the way she always did when she was upset.

"Lizzie, you are my favorite cousin, as selfish as it may be for me to say this..it pains me to see you cry. But we worried our whole family, return home safely now. I will be here when you need me. Now go before Edward gets even more concerned about your well being." I smile, I had to, I was the eldest daughter of the Phantomhive family. It was something I needed to do as my position of a noble woman, as well as of a lady.

Lizzie simply nodded as she headed towards where Edward was standing, waiting as I watch both of them leave the manor. The manor doors closing behind them, which now left me now with Ciel, Tanaka, and Undertaker. Since I don't have a clue where Mey-Rin, Baldory, and Finnian could have gone since they worked under "Ciel."

"Well then, now that that mess has been cleared out. How have you been Valerie-" Valerie cut off Ciel by a sudden hug, as if she hasn't done many of those already since his return.

"I'm still so confused..I don't understand anything that's going on, Ciel how-" Valerie's eyes widened as she looks at Ciel, his tone quickly getting her attention.

"Do not worry about it now, Valerie. You'll find out eventually." Ciel replied, somehow, his tone had a colder tone than "Ciel" himself. How was that even possible...? Ciel removed himself from her touch. As Undertaker follows behind him, I was left there standing. It felt like the manor wasn't as whole as it was before..what am I saying? The manor never felt whole after their 10th birthday.
