It had been a few weeks since the day of unity, and since, atleast to the boiling isles, luz, hunter, willow, amity, and gus had went missing. Of course they wanted to get back but all the attempts at making a new portal have failed so far.

It was a pretty normal morning for the hexsquad. Camila had just left for work. And everyone else was either still eating breakfast or just doing their own thing. Since luz is starting school again soon camila decided to give them all phones so they can keep tabs on luz and so they wont be bored. (Omg we are finally starting dialogue it's a miracle) "I'm gonna go to the bathroom really quick." Luz blurted out. She proceeded to walk upstairs to the bathroom. Once she was inside she grabbed some make up remover and some foundation. She wiped under her eyes to show some pretty dark eyebags. Of course she had been working to make a portal late at night but she didn't think the eye bags would get this bad "holy shit.." luz quietly whispered to herself, she proceeded to apply the foundation under her one of her eyes until it looked like there was no eyebags. But she ended up knocking into something and dropping it, pretty loudly. Maybe 20 seconds later luz heard a knock and hunters voice followed "luz? Are you okay?" He asked, sounding a little concerned "y-yeah I'm fine!" Luz said back "are you sure? Did something break?" Hunter replied "mhm I'm sure!" Luz said. She heard nothing on the other end but footsteps. She suspected that hunter left and continued to apply foundation to her other eye. After doing so she came out the bathroom. Everyone was doing their own thing. "Hey guys! Since luz is back why dont we try to make the portal door! We should be able to do it this time!!' Gus said. Everyone agreed and they went over to the run down house. They had fixed it up so it looked way better. They had beanbags, chairs, tables, snacks, you name it. Luz simply sat on a beanbag while everyone else sat around the table they set up. One everyone was settled they started brainstorming. "What if we use the palismen to power the portal?" Willow said. "We already tried that!" Vee replied "maybe we didn't do it right?" Amity chimed in. Luz had listened to them brainstorm for anothet 10 seconds before zoning out and falling asleep. Hunter was about to ask luz for an opinion so he turned to her. Only to see her asleep. So he just left it alone, 10 minutes later luz woke up and everyone was still brainstorming. "Hey..why dont we call it a day for now? We can try some of these ideas tomorrow maybe?" Luz said. They all agreed and left the house. This was one of the many times luz had fallen asleep without anybody looking.

It was maybe 1 am and Luz decided to make herself a small snack because she was hungry. She walked into the kitchen and decided to cut up some strawberries. When doing so she somehow managed to fall asleep, damn, she must have been really tired. She only woke up when she felt a sharp pain in her arm, she looked to see a cut. It looked fresh. She winced in pain and then walked upstairs. She didn't wanna bother anyone since they where all asleep. She walked upstairs into her room. She saw everyone in bed. She decided to put her shoes and a jacket on and walk out the house. Maybe she can try to make a portal door. She really missed eda and king, hell, she missed hooty and his annoying antics. She walked downstairs and was about to leave only to hear hunters voice. "human, where do you think your going?" Hunter said "h-hunter! What are you doing awake? I've talked to you about staying up so late!" Luz replied "I should ask you the same question." "Oh I just wanted to uh go on a quick walk! I just woke up and-" "dont lie to me, luz" hunter cut luz off. This was the first time he had used luzs name. "What do you mean?" "I'm not dumb. I've been up all night. I didnt see you asleep at all. Not to mention I also see your eyebags. So let's try this again. Where are you going?" "Fine..I was gonna go to try to make a new portal door..again" "again?" Hunter asked "yeah, I've been doing this routine for awhile." Luz replied "take your shoes and jacket off and come upstairs. Now." Luz didnt say anything and just did what hunter told her to, but while taking off her jacket the small cut from earlier was revealed. It was still bleeding "human what the fuck is that!? Are you okay!?" Hunter asked worried "yeah I'm fine I just accidentally cut myself while trying to cut strawberries because I fell asleep!" "Come on. I'll help treat that." Luz followed hunter to their bedroom and sat down in a bean bag in the room. Hunter left to get the first aid kit and came back with it. "Hunter I'm fine! Seriously! You dont have to do this!" Luz said "Your lying. I saw you fall asleeo almost 6 times while the others weren't looking. Not to mention just now you fell asleep cutting something." Hunter replied "But I-" luz started "human. You cant keep doing stuff like this to yourself. You wanna help the team? Well you cant with the state your in." Hunter cut her off
"But hunter you look so tired. I dont wanna bother any of you guys because of my recklessness." Luz said worried. Hunter was stunned. He sighed "look luz, I was in the emperors coven. I'm used to staying up late. You are clearly not. Just, let me stay up tonight. If I need you for anything. I'll wake you up, just get some rest. Please. Okay luz?" "Fine.." "okay now get to bed. Your eye bags are dark enough." Hunter said as he ushered luz to bed. Once he made sure luz was asleep he just sat there.
