I've just finished my matric and i passed with a D but my D wasn't those ugly D's it was pretty shame. I'm 18 and my sister Nobuhle is 25 she lives in JHB so she suggested i go and live with her because furthering my studies was not an option, theres no money to do so.

I had just gotten off a bus from EL and my sister was already waiting for me. I took my bag and went to her. We briefly hugged.

Her: Mntaka mama you made it. Unjani kodwa?

Me: yeah sisi. Im good mntaka Ma, njani wena?

Her: Im good wethu. lets go before we get mugged.

We went to catch a taxi and headed to Tembisa. She lived in a 2 Bedroomed house with her boyfriend Lumko. We got inside and he was seated in the lounge watching TV.

Buhle: hey baby*she kissed his cheek*this is my sister ke

Me: Hi

Him: nice to meet you Sihle, if i may call you that

Me: no its fine really.

Buhle: come lemme show you where you'll be sleeping

Me: Ok

Him: it was nice meeting you

Me: like wise bhuti

She showed me the room, it wasnt big it had a single bed and a 1 door wardrobe.

Her: tomorrow we going to Sandton i got you a job

Me: wow really :D ?! Where?

Her: at my bosses house

Me: huh?

Her: they need a maid cause their last one is too old and sick to continue

Me: :O

Her: relax they pay well and you'll stay with them. you wont even do much either than to clean, cook and watch their house while they are at work

Me: why couldnt you get me a job at your work

Her: Cause there are no posts open and besides all you have is matric

Me: fine i guess

Her: relax it will be fine wethu. Come lets go get something to eat

We got out of the room and went to join her boyfriend. We went to KFC and baught 3 streetwise 2 then we went back to Tembisa. Lumko stopped in front of a spaza and went to go buy bread and 2 litre coke then he came back and we headed to their place. We ate and headed to bed.

I got to the room and called mom telling her i got to JHB safely with my sisters phone ofcause after the call i returned it to her then went to sit in the room thinking about me working as a maid. 12 years in school only to become a domestic worker yoh ha.a sana. After 30 min or so when i was finally drifting off to sleep i heard what sounded like moans and groans coming from the other side of the Lumko and Buhle were having sex and boy were they enjoying each other. this went on for about an hour or so and then it was quiet-thank God, now i can finally sleep- i finally fell asleep after a while. Around 5:30am my sister came to wake me to get ready for my new job, apparently i had to be there by 7am sharp so Lumko was going to drive me after dropping my sister off at her job. We got to her job then Lumko drove off. It was just him and I in his car and the time was 6:30am.

Him: you ready for your job?

Me: i dont know really

Him: nervous?

Me: very*he nodded*

it was awkwardly silent. he kept stealing glances at me on the rear view mirror. he broke the silence.
