mASOCHIST

Taehyung was pathetic.

It had only been a grand total of five days that he had known Jungkook — known of Jungkook's existence, to be more accurate, since he didn't really know him at all — and he was already back.

It was only yesterday that Taehyung was making a fool of himself by telling Jungkook words that he didn't even know the definition of, and — he'd already said he was pathetic, okay, because he wanted to see him again and he needed an excuse.

"I can't believe you're making me do this."

Taehyung flashed a smile at Jimin, giving his bicep a squeeze as they walked through the doors of the parlor because there was no way that he wasn't the best friend ever.

"I'm actually permanently inking something to my skin because you have a little cru—"

"You again," Hoseok said, looking up and cutting Jimin off — which Taehyung was extremely grateful for, by the way. "Back for another tattoo or just to deliver some more interesting words?"

And god, Taehyung was blushing because had Jungkook told Hoseok that he'd come to unload some words on him or had he heard himself?

Either way it was equally as embarrassing, because Hoseok was giving Taehyung a smirk like he could see inside him and knew exactly what he was thinking.

"You came back here after the tattoo?" Jimin started, grinning wide and small dimples showing and Taehyung kind of hated him right now, because he and Hoseok were sharing this look that he didn't like. "What a loser."

"Shut up, Jimin," Taehyung gritted back, and at the moment Jungkook kind of appeared behind the counter.

Or more like he walked up when Jimin was calling him a loser, but he was too focused on being embarrassed to notice.

"Taehyung, hi," He greeted easily, shy smile on his face before turning to Jimin. Jungkook eyed him up and down, raising his brows and eyes outlining his tattoos before nodding a bit, like suddenly everything made sense. "And you're?"

"Park Jimin, and you must be Jungkook." Jimin gave him a dazzling grin and was probably matching up Jungkook's looks with the description of him that he'd forced out of him yesterday.

Taehyung hip-checked him, because could he be any more obvious, but he only chuckled.

And yes, Taehyung hated Park Jimin.

"Um, yeah," Jungkook shot Taehyung an uneasy look that only had him staring holes into the floor because his eyes were so pretty and intense. "Must be. So, which one of you are here for a tattoo? Or are you not?"

"He is," Taehyung offered, just to say something, because he'd been staring at Jungkook like an idiot since he'd first arrived. "He's getting, a, um —"

"M' getting a forever gold, on my elbow, here," Jimin gestured loosely, "To, you know, match Taehyung's stay gold. Which is funny to say."

Jungkook nodded, tilting his head back to the room that Taehyung been in just five days ago. "Well I could take you, if you'd like?"

Jimin nodded, grabbing Taehyung's hand and tugging him behind himself. "Did you know that Taehyung is afraid of needles?"

Jungkook gave Taehyung a smile, which he tried to return without hyperventilating but of course failed because he was gorgeous, before he spoke. "Yeah, it's trypanophobia, right?"

"Right. And you have chorophobia." Jimin pointed out.

Jungkook cleared his throat, ducking his head and motioning for Jimin to sit. "Which you think is actually really cute."

"Um. Right." Taehyung stuttered.

Jimin laughed, actually laughed, as in little dimples showing and head tilted back and god, Taehyung wished he'd shut up.

Jungkook must've been thinking the same thing because he sent Jimin a glare that was not amused in the slightest, which Jimin ignored, of course, finally dropping Taehyung's hand to plop in the seat. "Actually really cute. That's rich. Cheers, Tae."

And Taehyung was really regretting bringing Jimin — meeting Jimin and being friends with him, even — but it got Jungkook to flash a little smile that he subtly tried to cover by biting his lip.

And when did lip biting become so sensual?

Taehyung rolled his eyes at Jimin at an attempt at playing it cool, and he snorted, grabbing his hand again because "In case I cry or something, you know. You're my moral support."

And Jungkook was awfully quiet.

He wasn't exactly talkative anyway, and maybe he didn't talk very much because Jimin's mouth was always moving, but he didn't even try to strike up a conversation at all.

Jungkook barely even looked up from where he was running the ink along Jimin's arm.

Taehyung was starting to get the feeling that he didn't like Jimin very much, which should've made him upset, but it didn't.

"And yeah, man, I know I've got a load of tattoos, but you have way more. Is that a full sleeve?" Jimin blabbered. Jungkook gave a brief nod, which Jimin either didn't notice or disregarded. "Crazy. I'd never get that many, I don't think."

Jungkook gave a little smirk, which had Taehyung's heart fluttering ridiculously fast. "Maybe I'm just addicted to the pain."

"Masochism," Taehyung blurted, because he was an idiot that didn't have a filter, and Jimin's hand felt too big in his owns and he wanted the ground to swallow him up.

"Hm?" Jungkook asked, glancing up at Taehyung for the first time in what felt like hours.

Jungkook bit his lip again, which he needed to stop doing unless he wanted Taehyung to collapse on the floor from a lack of oxygen.

"Masochism — like, you know. Um. Pleasure from pain. If you, like, if you like pain, you're a masochist, but I'm sure you were just kidding. Yeah. Masochist."

And oh god why was sound still coming out of Taehyung's mouth?

"Oh. Masochist. Huh." Jungkook didn't say anything else after that, and Jimin was wearing this all-knowing smile, but he did, when they were leaving, tell him quietly. "I was just kidding, but — thanks. I didn't really know that. I mean, I've heard it, but. Yeah."

And then Jungkook did that stupid smile and hell, maybe Taehyung was the one into masochism after all, because he didn't know why he kept coming back here when all Jungkook did was give him pain.

And, like an idiot, Taehyung liked it.
