Carmen couldn't help but grow bored. Even after VILE broke out of prison, their tactics didn't change. It was all the same as before. A routine, a dance of constant battle. Nothing too interesting ever seemed to happen anymore, at least not interesting in her eyes. Honestly life began to get repetitive. There was no longer that spark in her from the thrill.
She loved doing good in the shadows, it's just everyday the same kind of caper. Maybe with different operatives or artifacts or countries but it was the same routine.
"You good there red?" Player spoke to her through her earpiece.
"Huh? Oh yeah. Another successful caper, what more could I ask?" Carmen quipped. She sat down on the edge of a rooftop, her legs dangled over the edge of the tall building.
"Hm. If you say so. You've just sounded more dull recently, like your mind is some place else."
"Yeah, I guess my mind has been drifting off recently huh?" The redhead chuckled. "Do you ever get.. bored? Of all this I mean. Like for 6 years it's just been the same thing on repeat, day in and day out. There's no drama to it anymore."
"Carmen, you're a superthief that most agents and the rest of the world are after. How is that not dramatic."
"I don't know, I guess it's just. I mean we've been on our own doing this, this past 2 years right? I miss Zack and Ivys arguing. It's not that you're boring it's just that, life's just gotten repetitive. You know what I mean? I mean the chaos of it's gone I guess." Somewhere on a rooftop in the dead of night lay a super thief, claiming that her life was uninteresting.
"If chaos is what you're looking for I hear being a supervillain is pretty chaotic." Player teased. Somewhere in the world there was a boy in his last year of high school who was currently helping a super thief get past almost any security system.
"Ha ha. Very funny. Any other ideas?"
"Hm. You could go public with everything? The constant requests for interviews! Picture it, you on headlines and me making bank as your manager."
"Now that's funny player." A small laugh escaped her mouth. Player always had a big imagination didn't he? Probably helped with planning capers that should've been impossible.
"Well its a suggestion, theres the chaos and unpredictability of the public."
"If I was some big famous figure it would make my work a lot harder. The whole thing is being discreet, that would be hard with the paparazzi taking pictures of my every move."
"Depends on the type of celebrity you are. If you were a content creator I could probably throw off any doxxers with IP's set in weird ass locations."
"You're not seriously considering this are you?" The thief teased.
"Think about the extra cash! I could totally buy a new layout with that stuff."
"If you need money that bad you could just ask. We have a decent amount of funds to spare."
