A New York City Tragedy

Once there was a girl named Ariana Scott. She had blonde hair and green eyes. Her parents died in a car accident when she was only 8 years-old. She turned 17 years old before graduating from high school. Ariana then moved to New York City to attend a college called New York University. She always wanted to write stories beginning in middle school and continuing through high school, and so she decided to major in journalism.

One day Ariana was unpacking her stuff into her Aunt Kelly’s home.  When Ariana walked in, her Aunt Kelly gave her a big hug.  After the hug, Ariana went to her room and unpacked her stuff.  She organized her backpack for school and she got ready for bed. The next day was going to be her first day of college at New York University, and she wanted to be prepared.  She went to bed early that night at 9 pm to be sure she was rested for her first day at college.  
 
The next day, Ariana woke up at 6:00 am, got out of bed, and readied herself for school. She marked off September 8th, 2001 on her calendar. She gathered her things together, headed out the door,  got into her car and drove to school. Once she arrived at NYU, she parked her car in a parking garage, grabbed her bag and went to class. Walking to the building, she heard the bells ringing out that it was 9 am.  Ariana was excited to be at NYU and to start her first day as a journalism student.
After 50 minutes of class, the bell rang and Ariana got up and left the classroom and while she was walking to her next class, she bumped into a boy. Ariana’s notebooks fell onto the ground, but to her amazement,  the boy helped her pick up her stuff! She thought “that would never happen in high school!” 

They walked to the next class together, and when they got there, they introduced themselves to each other. 
“ I’m Jacob Andre and I’m a freshman here at NYU.” The boy said, introducing himself to Ariana.

“ I’m Ariana Scott, I’m also a freshman too and I also just moved here.” Ariana said, introducing herself to Jacob.
After they introduced themselves, they went to their next class and once the bell rang class had started. 
After school, Ariana went home. Once she got home she greeted her Aunt Kelly and dinner was already made. Aunt Kelly hugged her niece and they ate dinner. Once they were done eating dinner Ariana went to her room and she got ready for bed.

Two days later, Ariana circled September 10th, 2001 on her calendar and her Aunt Kelly came in with a cupcake that had a candle on the top and she sang happy birthday to Ariana. 
       
“ Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Ariana, happy birthday to you.” Aunt Kelly sang to Ariana and Ariana giggled and blew out the candle. After eating her cupcake, Ariana readied herself for school. She got into her car and went to school. Once she arrived at school she parked her car, grabbed her stuff and headed to her class.
After she got to her class, she noticed that Jacob wasn’t sitting by her until she saw that Jacob was sitting by another girl and her name was Kate Oslen. 

When Ariana got to the campus, she didn’t talk to Jacob at all but Kate is always cheering Jacob up when Ariana walks away.“ Don’t worry Jacob, she didn’t even say hi to you. She just ignored you every time… but I respect you… let’s be together.” Kate told Jacob and he agreed to be with Kate and this broke Ariana’s heart but she didn’t care anymore.

After school, Ariana came home, ate dinner with her aunt, did her homework after eating and went to bed after saying goodnight. The next morning, Ariana wanted to go to the twin towers with her journalism class but they couldn't because it was only for the Juniors and Seniors. 
After she readied herself like always, she grabbed her stuff and she headed to school. Once she arrived, she got her stuff and went to class. Once she got to class, her teacher told her to come with the other journalism class that are Seniors and Juniors to the twin towers because her normal class doesn’t get to go because they are college freshmen and the teacher also told her that she is the most excellent writer that was in his freshman class. Kate overheard this and was jealous that Ariana gets to go but not her or Jacob.

After Ariana and the Senior and Junior journalism class left, they headed to the twin towers. Once the teacher told Ariana that she is going inside with two sisters, a Senior named Beth and a Junior named Becky. After they got their task on what to do they headed inside the South Tower. 

Once the three girls went inside, they explored the floors before they got to the 20th floor in the South tower and it was only 8:40 am. Six minutes later Ariana, Beth and Becky heard a boom at the North tower and they saw that it had been hit by a plane or something like that and Ariana looked at her phone and said that it was 8:46am. 

A few minutes later, Ariana checked her phone again and it was 8:59 am and the police officers wanted to evacuate the south tower and the north but Ariana didn’t hear the police officers and other people evacuating the tower and she continued her notes until she noticed that Becky and Beth already left because the people grabbed them to get out of the building and she started running down the stairs until she again, checked her phone and it was 9:03 am and she felt a shake in the south building and the plane had hit a few floors above her. 
Once Ariana reached the 15th floor she was running too fast, she fell down the stairs and hurt her wrist but she noticed that she needed to keep running and so she did. Few minutes later Ariana reached the 14th floor but she stopped and she felt weak. 
 
At 9:59am, Ariana was still running and once she got to the 5th floor, the building collapsed and stuff from the building fell onto Ariana but she woke up and noticed that she survived but then she passed out. Few minutes later after the North tower collapsed, police officers and their trained police dogs searched the two collapsed towers looking for survivors until they found Ariana in the collapsed south tower and they got the stuff off of her and they took her to the ambulance and the teacher saw Ariana and asked the police if she was okay. The police told the teacher that she was going to the hospital. 

When the ambulance got to the hospital with Ariana, Aunt Kelly arrived at the hospital and the doctors told her that Ariana was in surgery right now for her wrist and rib. After the doctor explained to Aunt Kelly, they did surgery on Ariana’s wrist then they started doing surgery on her rib but while they were doing the surgery the machine started beeping telling the doctors that they were going to lose Ariana, they did what they were supposed to do and they saved her life. After Ariana’s surgery her Aunt Kelly and the whole NYU students came to visit Ariana but by that time she was in her room in a coma right now. Aunt Kelly cried hoping that Ariana would fight for her life.

A month later, Ariana finally woke up from a coma and her Aunt Kelly was sitting in a chair by Ariana’s hospital bed. Once the doctors came in to check on Ariana’s health and once they got done they told her aunt that Ariana is in good health and is ready to go home. After 2 weeks passed she came back to NYU and wanted to finish her college years and her teacher was happy that Ariana was alive and knew about her medicine and she also has to be careful with her ribs and wrist. After she graduated NYU, she became a news journalist and reporter and became a big hit on the news and New York Times newspaper. Also people found out that she was the one that survived 9/11 that day so she became even more and people loved her.
