My breath hitches in my throat, and all I can do is stare blankly ahead. My knees buckle and fall, and suddenly I'm laying on my side. Cold rain water slips onto my back and legs, numbing half of my body. Tears form at the rims of my eyes, threatening to over-flow. I need him and he's gone. The buzz from the drink can't make this one go away. I'm shaking but I can't stop it. I'm crying but I don't allow it. I'm breathing but it's not by choice. The stench of the rainy alley and vodka fill my nose. Everything blurs as my head pounds. Why did he leave me? Why is she better? Why does it hurt so much? I could feel everything slowly leaving me, all my emotions swirling down like a drain, as a black figure began creeping into view. Closer and closer, until it was staring down on me. Slowly the world began to diminish, sweeping over me until the darkness was all that existed.
