Yn subconsciously bit her lip as she read through the pages of her book. "So if fire ghouls are sensitive to cold and water, water ghouls are sensitive to heat," she muttered to herself. "Earth ghouls are weak to both the heat and the cold. Huh, multi ghouls are sensitive to different things depending on the ghoul. That's kinda like humans," she whispered. "And... quintessence ghouls- quintessence ghouls? Is that what Aether is? ..They have very few weaknesses, but they are known to dislike conflict." She hummed in thought.
She suddenly heard quiet stomps heading towards her. Looking up from her place on the sofa in the lounge, she was met with fiery eyes glaring down at her. "Is that all you do? Read that stupid book?" Sodo growled.
For a moment, Yn was stunned. However, she quickly recovered. "No, I just- I'm just reading through it. I want to know more about you guys," she answered in a smug tone.
Sodo narrowed his eyes at her, but sat down across from her nonetheless. "Maybe if you kept your head out of that book you would know more about us," he retorted.
Yn looked at him in surprise. "Still, I'd like to know what to do when something goes wrong. Or if one of you gets hurt," she said thoughtfully.
He huffed at her. "Still," he mocked her and she frowned. "You would learn that anywa-" She flicked a bookmark at him, successfully hitting his chest. He stared at her, dumbfounded. She stared right back at him, expressionless. The male grit his teeth and then clenched them. He slammed his hand on the table and opened his mouth, baring his fangs.
However, before he could get a word out, another bookmark hit his arm. He gazed at her with angry eyes. She could only smile up at him innocently. He felt his anger bubbling inside of him. "Come on, that's not really why you're angry, is it? What's the real reason you're upset?" She asked him, softening her smile.
Sodo's face dropped in shock. Although, that didn't last long before he growled at her again. "I don't have to tell you anything," he barked out as he crossed his arms and turned away. Yn shrugged her shoulders and looked back down at the book. Minutes passed and Sodo slowly turned his gaze back to her. "It's just stress," he mumbled under his breath.
She lifted her head. "Hm?" She hummed, having not heard him.
His anger quickly resurfaced. "ITS JUST STRESS!" He shouted in annoyance.
Her eyebrows lifted in surprise. "Well that's very specific," she replied sarcastically. She watched as his teeth clenched again. "What has you stressed anyways?" She inquired as she relaxed back into her chair.
He heaved out a heavy sigh. "It's just been more chaotic lately, with the ritual coming up and whatever." He grunted out, acting like he was reluctant.
Yn quirked a brow in confusion. "Ritual?" She asked. What the hell was a ritual? Her interest was piqued.
Sodo only glanced at her. "Nothing. Forget it," he said as he began to get up. He started to walk off towards the library doors.
Yn shot up. "Hey! Sodo!" She exclaimed, watching as he walked out the doors and slammed them behind him. She frowned in annoyance.

"And then he walked out and slammed the door! Like, what the hell? We actually started having a decent conversation and he left! It's like decency is far from what he wants!!" Yn complained as she paced around the room. After hearing silence as her only response, she turned. "Hello? Are you even listening?" She asked loudly, growing impatient.
The ghoul sitting on her bed with a plush in his lap finally looked over. "Sorry, I'm not ignoring you," Rain said. She crossed her arms and gave him a look. "Sodo just.. he hates opening up to people. And he especially dislikes new people." He explained with a soft chuckle.
Yn groaned and flopped onto the bed face first. "How do I get him to like me? It feels like he hates me," she mumbled. Her voice was muffled against the fluffy pillows scattered around.
Rain smiled and looked down at her. "Well.." He trailed off and his eyes wandered over to the thick book resting on the girl's bedside table. "Honestly, you should probably just be normal around him and maybe match his energy. He's actually pretty playful with the others," he stated.
Yn laid her head on the side and looked up at him. "Really? That's a little believable I guess," she muttered. "Be normal and match his energy, huh." She stared at the book. Maybe she didn't need it after all.
