Please forgive me I was 11 when I wrote this

Sierras pov

It was a dark and dreary Halloween night when I saw it. The thing that would change my life forever. The night still haunts me to this day, my parents' kidnapping.

They were taken by an unnatural, unhuman, and bone-chilling creature. A vampire. She looked no older than me, so about 16 years old.

My name is Sierra Van Ghoul. Creepy, right? I live in a huge house on the coast of Monterey. My house has 50 rooms including the spa, kitchen, living room, movie room, and the best room of all,my bedroom. It has a huge walk in closet that you could get lost in for days, a loft bed with a desk underneath it, a new computer, the iphone 12 (which is scheduled to be released in 2 weeks), a couch, a bookshelf, a vanity, a punching bag, my soccer, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, golf, volleyball, badminton, swimming, cross country, football, figure skating, riding, boxing, cricket, baseball, skiing, and hockey trophies on a shelf, my tv, my ipad, my original Monet paintings, and my paintings.

My parents are famous writer Eda Laverne ,and owner and founder of The Electronic Shop, Oliver Van Ghoul. My mom is from Paris and my dad is from Italy so pizza and macaroons were and still are a big part of my life. I have lived in Monterey for most of my life.

It's been two years since that day and child services has still not caught up with me. If you are wondering where I'm staying, I've refurbished one of The Electronic Shop's old warehouses in San Francisco. It's not much but it's home for now

I have also dedicated my life to killing monsters and looking for my parents with my partner and best friend Devon (she's really awesome). I often find goblins in trash cans and orcs in dumpsters. I even found Grendel (from Beowulf) . I thought he was just a fictional character. I found out differently

Devon has dark black hair with bright blue dye at the bottom. Her eyes are as green as a meadow of grass, and her ears are pierced. She has never been one to follow rules and hates wearing dresses. She loves doing sports and was the captain of all the teams at school. She was very popular in school and everyone wanted to be her friend. She was a tomboy and showed it in her style. When most girls in our private school wore designer dresses she wore jeans and a tee.

As I jumped from rooftop to rooftop I saw something that startled me. -There she was, the one who took my parents on that cold Halloween night. I rushed after her looking for some answers and when I caught her I was terrified. She looked just like me, except without the crystal blue eyes and tanned skin almost as if it was kissed by the sun. She was pale as moonlight, had bright red eyes that glowed like fire, and her hair was as white as snow.

I grabbed her bony arm but she pulled away from me, so I jumped on her. She fell down and I asked her where my parents were. She told me to stay out of it. I demanded to know if she had my parents, and I vowed to get them back. She left me with more questions than answers.

I watched as she glided away. My one chance to find my parents disappeared. No, I wasn't going to give up, I was going to follow her. She led me through abandoned subway stations and sewers. She finally stopped at my dad's old office from '95. It was a radio broadcasting station. What would the vampire want to do, send out a message telling everyone to donate blood?

Suddenly she turned around and looked right at me. She grabbed me by the collar of my jacket and lifted me 15 feet off the ground. She asked me what I was doing here. I told her that I wanted answers, now! She told me her name was Sasha and that she was my sister.

My sister?, I don't have a sister, I'm an only child! I punched her in the face out of shock. That was a bad idea, I soon came falling down. I was terrified. Suddenly something swooped down under me. I thought it was Sasha but she was still in the air.
