It was a quiet evening in Salem, not even a cloud in the clear starry sky covered the Moon which was a circle in the night. It was a quiet town of just a few inhabitants and those who were there followed a strange curfew;
people disappeared from the streets after eight o'clock in the evening on but Y / N had moved for about a month and was now used to the desolate streets of the curious and mysterious city of Massachusetts.
The way back home provided her with a tour of the monumental wooden houses that erected in the city center, which were said to have been the home of some women accused of witchcraft during the 1600s inquisition and had currently turned them into magic shops or apothecaries. The traditions of the occult world have always fascinated her and that city, although it was completely the opposite of the place she must have lived in all those years, she did not mind it at all... Those landscapes, the legends, the close contact with nature, made everything so terribly intoxicating.
She plugged in her headphones with a playlist of her favorite songs as she slipped the hands into the jacket pockets to warm herself from the cold wind.
'I put a spell on you, and now you're mine...' Y / N she hummed in a whisper as she walked through the now empty streets.
Her gaze fell on one house in particular, built entirely of a dark wood and protected by a gate that seemed closed for years now.
"Here resided the three Sanderson sisters, accused of witchcraft and executed in 1693 by the community of Salem" Y / N read aloud and her gaze stopped on one of the windows of the house and for a moment she swore she saw someone move in the inside.
She shook her head and slowly walked away looking around, almost as if she had the sensation of being observed by prying eyes, but that city was like that, sometimes it even seemed it was breathing.
Y / N turned up the volume of the music trying to distract herself from that feeling, starting to walk faster and looking at her feet concentrating on the lyrics of the song.
A shadow made space behind her and when she turned to see who it was, she noticed that there was no one so slowly she took off a earphone with her trembling hand and then noticed that the presence was not coming from behind her shoulders but from above her head.
Y / N had to squint more than once in disbelief at what she had just seen;
Three women were sit on brooms and floated in the blue night sky.
"How is it possible?" Y / N whispered in disbelief.
The older woman was dressed in green and she approached making Y / N swallow loudly in fear but that woman intrigued her at the same time.
"Sisters, we found the girl" She said with a sinister smile staying very close almost analyzing.
"Yes Winnie you did a perfect job" another woman behind her dressed in red said
'Sisters?' Y / N thought confusedly, tilting her head on a side, not having the courage to ask any questions.
"I see the curiosity and the questions make space in your eyes girl" said the red-haired woman lifting the girl's chin with her fingers so that their eyes connected.
"Are you the Sanderson sisters?" Y / N asked "The women of the house on the corner?"
"Oh you mean the ancestral cottage, yes beautiful eyes, it's us" she said as she stepped off her broom to face her.
Y / N took a few steps back, not knowing what to expect, everything just seemed so surreal.
"Won't you be afraid, my dear? We won't do anything to you, we like virgins "She said advancing in the direction of the girl who by now had hit the wall with her back.
'I'm trapped,' Y / N thought, while the red-haired woman was right in front of her and advancing more and more until only a few inches separated them.
The woman moved the hand in front of Y/N face and blew as a green powder slowly made her lose consciousness until everything went black around her and then emptiness.
———
Y / N heard distorted voices, unclear, while they were formulating almost incomprehensible sentences but she couldn't open her eyes, she was just cold.
"Winnie, the girl is almost awake," a voice said
"Oh finally," the red-haired woman probably said as Y / N slowly opened her eyes and glimpsed the features of her face grinning at her.
"Hello beautiful eyes" she said smiling ominously.
Y / N was sitting on a chair in the middle of a house that seemed straight out of the Middle Ages;
a cauldron was positioned in the center of the room, candles around every corner that illuminated the room, a lit fireplace that made the room warm and a mezzanine but from her position it was not sure what was there.
"You are a very curious girl" the woman said, bending slightly to observe her "But now I don't see fear in your eyes"
"I'm not afraid of you" Y / N replied looking straight into the eyes of the red-haired woman whose name she understood was Winifred and
felt was a slight tingling in the stomach when she saw a sparkle in her eyes.
Winifred grinned at the girl's words and slowly straightened up looking at her from above.
"Sisters, we will keep her with us, she might be useful" Winifred said, taking a book from the shelf that was decorated with an eye on the cover.
"Come on my little one, open your lively, virulent eye" Winifred said, moving her fingers slightly on the cover.
Y / N jumped when she saw the decorative eye of the book open and she closed her hands on the armrests of the chair she was stuck on, not for any kind of magic but because her legs were shaking.
"Oh sister, I feel the heart beat of the virgin! She is terrified, terrified, terrified! " the blonde sister said, hopping amusedly around her cauldron.
"Hm interesting, yet you said you were not afraid" Winifred said advancing towards the chair as the book opened by itself flipping through the pages on counter.
The red-haired woman moved a lock of hair from Y / N's face and her hand was cold as she caused shivers on the girl's skin which initially unfolded with simple fear.
"We suck souls from virgin girls like you," Winifred said smiling as she slid her fingers along her jaw and down Y / N's neck as she swallowed.
"Up to the last drop of them" she said wrapping hand around her neck and approaching closely untill their noses touched.
Y / N squeezed her legs together and thought it was for terror but another sensation slowly made its way into her lower abdomen making her spine tremble in a shiver that immediately made the Sanderson's older sister smile.
"Or maybe you want me to" she said making Y / N blush quickly, realizing that the woman deciphered her moves.
Winifred laughed amusedly and took the girl's face with a firmly hand, letting her grip on her neck.
"I'll have so much fun with you, you'll stay with us for now"
