Chapter 10

That was the last thing I heard before the nurse injected me with pain medication.

" Will the broken ribs and medication affect the baby was the last thing I heard before the medicine completely took over.

I have been in the hospital for two weeks and I am only allowed up for 20 minutes to walk because of my broken ribs, I'm also 2 months and 2 weeks pregnant. At first I wasn't exactly excited about but what can I do beside love this baby and I've also come to terms with being pregnant because I refuse to give it up for adoption or abortions. (A/N please nobody take offense to this)

"Come on Ms. Hayes times up let's get you back in bad. " Nurse Mia directed.

Jordana and Ryelynn always come by after work to bring dinner and tell me about there day. Nurse Mia helped me back in bed and brought me a cup of water and my prenatal vitamin. So far I've had more Ultrasounds than a normal person because of my broken ribs. The doctor informed I have to take it easy because the broken ribs could possibly affect the baby's health.

" Ms.Hayes Dr. Wilkins and Niandra will be in shortly to update and check on you. I will be taking my lunch now Nurse Tnika will be my stand in until I get back" Nurse Mia stated.

"Okay" I replied winded from the walk.

Not in ten minutes after Mia left did a knock sound on my door. "Come in" I called out.

" How are you feeling Ms.Haye" Dr. Wilkins asked taking out his stethoscope.

"Very winded" I replied trying to get my breathing normal.

" I'm going to listen to your lungs and then Dr. Will you give her an ultrasound." Dr wilkins

finished.

After he checked my blood pressure, heart and lungs Dr. Niandra gave my an ultrasound. They consulted and said that I give I continue to get better, that there's a possible chance I could leave in 2 weeks. But they also limited my walking time to 10 minutes because being winded doesn't help me or the baby. After the Doctor's left Jordana and Ryelynn came and brought cajun rice and pop eyes chicken. I was like YASS. So they told me that police have no new leads in my case, and would like to speak to me when I get in about 2 weeks if nothing goes wrong. Jordana brought be a couple of books because the hospital only plays 70's re-runs and the news which I find both incredibly boring. But since I have been in the hospital I've been thinking about who the baby's father could be whether it's the dead rapists or my Italian Adonis , that's who I'm hoping it is. Ever since that day I haven't seen him and maybe it's for the best.
