some hcs where reader takes care of a sick red guy :0]

a/n: after i finished writing this i started realising none of this is explicitly romantic?😭 sorry guys its the aroace spectrum's fault

- red guy isnt very expressive at all, so unless it's a REALLY bad fever or you know him well enough to tell, you arent really gonna notice he's sick

- maybe he'll seem a little drowsier? he's got trouble keeping his balance when walking, his speech is slightly slurred and he just spaces out constantly.

- not gonna lie, he probably doesn't know what's going on with him either. it's not like the group regularly gets sick.

- "maybe you should lay down for a bit." "yeah..yeah maybe i should."

- headaches, nausea and everything else aside, red really enjoys being pampered by you. and laying in bed all day is right up his ally.

- to keep his mind off of feeling like hes on his deathbed, you could read him some simple stories or stroke his head until he falls asleep.

-you could lay with him too but he'd probably infect you? not that he knows that.

- he appreciates you being there but needs you to leave him alone to rest for a bit too. he's soooo tired

- maybe try to keep the other guys away too? yellow & duck would definitely try to come barging in the room every once in a while. "are you better yet?      what about now?" "when are you going to be done sleeping???"

- you can also stay in the room with him and just...idk read a book while he's sleeping, he'll enjoy the company.

- every once in a while he might try to say something to you when he's half awake. it's just a bunch of drowsy nothing but it's cute.

overall he's very glad you take such good care of him. in this weird lil messed up world, it's nice to have someone like you who cares about him as much as he cares about them.
