Eight in the evening rolled around blissfully and the Divine's were welcomed into the Turners house.

"Its wonderful to have you all all here, we have prepared a array of meats and vegetables for you to eat, our starter will be a fresh tomato soup our chefs have made" Said Ruth Turner, welcoming the Devine family into their home.

They were lead into the dining room and shown to their seats, Florence sat across from Joseph. She was looking at him in a different way now, not from how she use to, she didn't to enjoy his company and being near him but after what had happened today at school and the moment they had shared, she was seeing him in a new light, a more...romantic light.

Everyone had sat and the starter had been brought to everyone, fresh tomato soup, the adults had wine and Joseph and Florence had water. The adults were talking about business and other things that weren't that important to the two.

"So, how was your afternoon Florence?" Joseph asked Florence, hoping to start a conversation.

"It was pleasant thank you joseph." she smiled to him "and how was yours?" she asked him back.

"Mine was very good thank you very much" he smiled to her. "I do hope you come to school everyday he said, it was lovely seeing you today" he said

Florence smiled and her face went a pale red "Oh you're to sweet Joseph really"

Everyone had finished their starter and the main was rolling around, fresh vegetables and  pork and gravy. Everyone was enjoying their meals until Frank said

"So Florence, Joseph, how are you to getting along hm, you're at that age now where you should be falling in love" he sipped his wine

Joseph sighed, he knew this would ruin their relationship they were forming, it had taken him ages to form this with her. Florence looked down at her food and then looked at Joseph who was looking upset, she smiled to him as he looked up to her slowly. Florence didn't like to see Joseph upset, not now she didn't, it hurt her, she didn't know why it hurt her but she felt hurt and angry. She wanted to say something and say something now but kept her mouth shut, she couldn't upset her father, she didn't want to upset her mother.

"Now Frank they're still young" Ruth said "Give them time"

The adults laughed but Florence hated what they both said, was this all the cared about, them getting married, why did it matter so much to them, did they not care about their own children's feelings and just had them from them to get married.

Florence stuffed her anger and sadness deep down and let the diner party keep going. The adults were laughing and drinking wine, when Joseph looked at Florence

"Want to go up to my room?" He asked her

She nodded.

They both went up to Joseph's room, it was painted red just like Florence's dining room it was full of books and art, painting he had made himself. Florence had never seen this side of Joseph before, she liked it.

"I'm sorry if its messy, I have not cleaned it yet." Joseph said

"Oh Joseph its amazing! How come you have never shown me this side of you?" she asked him

"I was afraid you'd think I was weird for liking this sort of stuff. I was scared you'd not want to know me or talk to me. I was scared..."

As he was talking Florence went up to him and placed one hand on his cheek,

"Oh Joseph, I would not think you're weird, not ever, I think this is wonderful."

Joseph and Florence locked eyes, they looked at each other in silence enjoying each others company. They felt at peace and happy in this moment, the things their parents said flowing away.

They weren't falling in love because of their parents they were falling in love themselves.
