Surprisingly after the first shock Haknyeon took the news quite well. Hyunjae explained everything to him from the moment Haknyeon was hit, through him coming to the hospital and turning him. He gave him a blood bag to drink and Haknyeon completed his transition without any complications.

It was hard for Sunwoo, wrapping his mind around the fact that the boy he was crushing on suddenly became a blood drinking monster. But at the same time there was no change. He was still as sweet as ever, the only difference was that he was stronger and drank human blood now. Very gross but it was a small price he had to pay, all that mattered was that Haknyeon was alive.

And Hyunjae also helped a lot. After Haknyeon drank the whole blood clean from the bag Hyunjae started explaining to him everything he had to know to survive. He gave him a ring with a beautiful blue stone that would protect him from the sun (apparently that was the business he had to take care of a few hours earlier), he started to teach him how to control his urges and he explained all the things Haknyeon should watch out for.

In the meantime Haknyeon's parents came from Jeju,  they were alarmed by the hospital so they rushed to the capital expecting their son to be dead but when they came to the room with the doctors they saw their son without any bruises, just sitting on a bed and watching a movie with Sunwoo.

The doctors called it a medical miracle but Hyunjae compelled them to think that they actually examined the older wrong and his injuries weren't that bad so he could go home earlier (Sunwoo and Haknyeon learned after that it was a skill all vampires had and Haknyeon was very excited to try it).

And just like that, like the whole thing with vampires didn't happen at all, they went home.

The first few days were hard because they both couldn't get used to their new reality. Sunwoo was walking one eggshells around his roommate, Haknyeon's senses sharpened and he could hear every sound that Sunwoo made which made him very jumpy. The first time the older went out alone he came back after a few minutes because the car honking and people's chatter were too much for him. He was overwhelmed. But slowly he was getting used to it. Haknyeon was especially upset at the fact that now he couldn't eat some of his favourite human food anymore and was sulking for the whole week (Sunwoo found that absolutely adorable actually because pouting Haknyeon was a big feast to his eyes and heart).

Another addition to their daily routine were frequent visits of vampires in their room. Because surprisingly Hyunjae wasn't the only vampire in the town. He had friends, a little clan of seven other men who were very excited about the new vampire that was added to their little family as they liked to call each other that. So that meant that most of the time there was another vampire in their room. At first Sunwoo was absolutely terrified (not that he would admit that out loud) but after a few visits he got used to the vampires' presence. He honestly started to like them because except for their unnatural strength and fangs they were like ordinary humans. And they were also very chill and fun to have around but again, Sunwoo wouldn't admit that out loud.

But except for a few obstacles at the beginning they went smoothly through their new routine. A few days passed by without much trouble, they went to their classes as usual, Haknyeon's stronger senses actually helped him at work with animals so he was absolutely delighted at that fact. He could hear the animals heartbeat and also he could work faster, he loved to brag about it to Sunwoo. And Sunwoo? At first he was scared that the older would give in to his desire to drink human blood and that he would kill someone on campus but luckily that didn't happen so he could sleep in peace. Vampirism wasn't an obstacle.

But then, something happened.

It wasn't something scary, thankfully. It was just a bunch of unordinary things that started to happen.
